natural leather would be cooler than pleather... but fabric would be cool too...maybe with some very stiff interfacing? coughgunshowcough ps kai, i ordered some brown from dharma trading...we'll see. but i'm skeptical. Actually....without the undertunic...you would also see my bra...lol... not good... and.... let me know how the Dharma brown works for you... I probably will still re-dye the outer tunic, tabards and obi... I did purchase a book on dying fabrics etc from Dharma many years ago... I will have to do a little reading before I go any further...

Nice job, Schph. I like that insignia better, too. Kinda looks like the Clone Wars shoulder armor.

very nice very nice!!! it does have an overall "clone wars" feel to it. would u consider some trooper armor instead of gauntlents? anyway..it looks sweet...looks comfy and cool and the insignia is perfect.

I see that the post I tried last night isn't here, so I'll try again. I think it looks really good, I do like the insignia, I like thecolour, it reminds me of the colour of your 1st tunic.

very nice very nice!!! would u consider some trooper armor instead of gauntlents? I had considered putting on my Stormtrooper forearm pieces... the gauntlets/bracers are just for giggles... I made those ages ago and seldom wear them.

The insignia is nice, though it is easier to see when it's on armor than when it's on cloth. And good posing!

Since the undertunic fabric is crinkle gauze...the insignia is not perfect because of the nature of the fabric itself... but Crix looked at it (he took the photos) and said it ended up having a worn and weathered look because of the imperfection... lol.. sounds good to me... ;D

Update: I finished two short-sleeved undertunics out of t-shirt jersey material, with the help of a friend with a serger machine. I've got lots of ideas for the outer tunic, and will be working on the mock-up version beginning this week. I'll keep you posted!

v.1 of outer tunic is done, so now I know what not to do when altering a pattern! Actually, it wasn't all that bad, just mis-cut the front pieces. The short sleeves looked pretty good, and since yesterday was 96 degrees with high dew points, it got some practical testing as well. Photos with v.2 (if I can figure out how to send them).
