OK, someone has to start this topic, right? I've seen the second news story about Samuel L. Jackson being in a movie this summer called 'Snakes on a Plane'.
I can see the attraction to a movie that is so completely without pretense that it has such a simple title that almost completely captures the plot of the film. I doubt I'll see it in the threater, but laugh when I see that title.

you're right.. the title caught my attention... I had an automatic vision of the slivery snakes going between seats on a plane.. I know thats not what it is.. It's just what I thought of after reading the title.. Now Im never going to be able to fly in a plane right ever again..

A couple of years ago, they found a snake in an overhead compartment in a plane at JFK, not a pet, not a nice snake at all, kinda a deadly one, they never did figure out how it got there, but it was native to where the plane originated. Usually they are found to be a pet snake that someone has tried to sneak on board, and it happens occasionally, I'm not bothered by snakes, but, please, no tarantulas, just to many legs, and they jump, eeekk! "Snakes on a Plane" wonder if that's what it's about, or is that supposed to mean something else, well, the trailers will tell. Doubt that I'll see it either.

The preview they showed on CNN about this thing had lots of snakes and panicking people and they were on a plane. So, it's exactly what it's advertising.

Of course an Indy fan and still waiting for #4 Well, I guess they used up all the other type of action thriller movies with creatures like Anaconda, Arachnophobia, Cujo, Jaws, etc., so I guess they figured why not have one on a plane to add to the excitement?

Wow. I thought this was going to be something about Indiana Jones. "Snakes on a plane" Am I one of the really few minority who thought of the scene in Indiana Jones where he was on the little single engine plane and freaked out about the snake that belonged to the pilot?
Oops. I was really off on this one...considering how I refuse to watch horror films.

I love that scene! Note the title, SnakeS (plural) on a plane, heehee, I love snakes, this could be funny! maybe it's a Thriller and not a horror flick.

Man.. I am not an fan of snales... but I prefer them over spiders any day... When I was a kid we use to have the quarter sized black jumping spiders in the basement "Playroom" and I could have sworn that they jumped at least 5'6 inches off the ground... and it made it worse that my bedroom was in the basement as well.

EEEEKKKK! Spiders, I hate spiders. Shelob really made me squirm, as does the scene in King Kong, that many legs is to many.

Snakes On A Plane (SOAP) is about a snitch who is going to testify against the MOB and is on a flight to wherever the trial is being held. The MOB gets wind of this and decides to off him and in an unusual way. Letting loose hundreds of deadly snakes. Sam the Man plays I believethe agent escorting said witness.

Silly plot, they have to have easier ways to get at a snitch. Mice rarely bite, unless you pick them up and they aren't used to being handled. My Grandfather used to get really upset if you killed the spiders in the house when we lived in FL, he insisted they were good because they ate insects, I used to get then with the vacuam cleaner, big black and hairy things they are! YUCK! I do like Daddy Long Legs though.

I've heard more about this movie, or Snakes on a [insert Samuel L. Jackson swearing here] Plane. Apparently, dialogue that was not in the movie was quoted on the internet, and I guess someone liked it, so they reshot some scenes with Samuel L. Jackson, with that dialoge. I don't know if this is a demonstration of the strength or the weakness of the internet.
