Generally, I liked it. There were things that could have been better, though...
I think the opening narration bothered me most...but mostly the voice.

For a movie targeted to teens it was enjoyable. My two younglings (11 & 8) totally loved it and the audience applauded at the end of the film. I found that there were times when I forgot it was "animated" and some of the ship graphics were fabulous.

I liked it, it was cute and fun. I agree about the opening narration, I wanted a crawl! LOL

I hope to be seeing it tomorrow as we're trooping a movie theater. We didn't do midnight and I couldn't as I had to work.

We trooped it last night...I brought my R2 along... and... for the 9:00 PM showing...the theater was eerily empty... so we got the chance to go in and view it... I loved Asoka.... I actually liked Anakin as well....he wasn't whiny or "dark"... Obi-Wan's character was ...well...flat... there was little story.... and the "shoot em-up" blaster battles wore thin.. I actually fell asleep a couple times...it was a rough day... all in all....I gave it 3 stars.....maybe 2 1/2....

I did get to see it yesterday (1st showing around here). I told Karm the same thing -- that I could almost like Anakin in this film. Ashoka wasn't as bad as I expected, either. Obi-Wan was typical Obi-Wan. I loved the scene where he was negotiting the terms of surrender. Overall I give it a B

It was good, the opening narration made me feel so emabarresed. it reminded me of the WWII help the war effort TV spots. Anakin was great. i agree that it was nice to see him not a whiney teen or a dark sider. Story wise...kinda lame...and how the heck did jabba get a baby in the first place?
Also where the heck did general grevious go? he was around during that time and had his magna guards in it, why wasn't he. I looked forward to seeing a full power general and not the coughing scaredy cat in EP3.

I'm gonna go see it today with a couple friends. I'm not expecting another 'great' star wars film; just a fun little ride back to that galaxy far, far away. i think I'll like it.

Cara, that's what I thought of it. Certainly not an epic but it will make a decent TV show. Photos of our event yesterday. It was really hot and even inside in the ac the troopers were suffering. Almost now one showed up today (2 other Jedi) so we called it quits early. public.fotki.com/Kait/star_wars/clone-wars-weekend/We did have a good Clone Wars Obi-Wan

It was fun. I liked it. The Emperor's voice wasn't very good, and Ziro was kind of nauseating, but overall it was a funny, fast-paced thrill ride. I think in na couple years I can show it to my nephew. He'll get a kick out of it.

I saw it yesterday when I trooped with Em in Pensacola with the 501st. Liked it, but will qualify that it is aimed at the pre-to-early-teen age group - basically Asoka's age.
- Liked Asoka; I am leery of 'spunky' girl characters; they are often over-done and predictable, but Asoka was entertaining and worked well with Anakin; they are similar and complementary. - Liked the hut-ling; Stinky was cute. - Liked the enemy general; he was not stereotyped as an evil-bad guy. And he only got mad after Obi-Wan pissed him off. - Obi-Wan's character was fine - Dooku was all business; you didn't really get much of that character. - The story was entertaining, but simple. - Liked the clones and the droid banter. SW needs droid banter for me. - Really liked the music.
- I DON'T like those chiseled beards! Ugh. The animation was fine, but I hope they lose that artistic choice.
Yeah, I'll get the DVD when it comes out.
I was glad that the opening credits looked different from the live action movies. The cartoon is not the same thing, so the opening should look different for me.
Kai: The weather was actually mild for us, but with the usual heavy humidity. The clones and Darth Vader found the 'cool' spots in the lobby where the air conditioning vents were blowing and tended to stay there.

I think generally I still prefer the "Samurai Jack" Clone Wars compared to the "Avatar" ones.

I hadn't seen it yet,m but had read the book. It shows more than what's on screen. Rotta actually came from Jabba. Since Hutts don't require two partners to reproduce, they're hermaphridites like some Terran slugs.
The book shows a LOT on internal dialogue from ANikan, how he hates Hutts, his feelings on Ashoka, the Clone trooopers' feelings about jedi and Anikan. Good book, I recommend it.

I haven't seen it yet but from what I heard they took about a half-hour off the movie (was supposed to be 2 hours and shortened it to 90 min.) and General Grievous was hardly in it. And I was wondering where does this fall in the timeline with the Clone Wars cartoon series. Or does GL pretend that didn't happen?
