This is my saber of choice for public events because it's short and light. Since I'm using it so much, I'm worried about wear and tear. (I already have a couple of loose LEDs, and a sporadic dark section.) I checked out a couple of saber sites, but it appears nobody has a conversion kit for this saber.
Anybody have any suggestions for conversion or repair sources for this particular model? Thanks!

yes and no. the original yoda FX was made by master replicas under a license to sell prop replicas. when master replicas lost the license, they sold the entire force-FX product line to hasbro. hasbro now sells the same sabers under their own license to sell toys. so, technically, the new yoda FX being sold at tory-r-us is identical to the old one.. but its now made by Hasbro instead of Master Replicas so its a different product. Brianstoys, for example, sells the new one for $99. but the old one is $79 because they need to get rid of them. redfordfilms (also) sells the hasbro FX sabers for $99, but the old master replicas yoda FX is only $65 because they are old stock. -===============- to answer the original question, I'm a moderator at fx-sabers.com and I've never heard of the yoda being converted to luxeon. your best bet is to buy a spare/replacement for $65 from redford. thats less than the cost of a luxeon conversion for ANY saber hehe its funny in a way, the master replicas yoda FX was overproduced and can be had fairly cheap right now. but as soon as they are all gone/sold-out, then the "collectors value" will kick in, and it will rise to be worth more than the hasbro. like all the other models that are currently sold out and gone. the Master Replicas versions will consistently fetch more than their hasbro counterparts@$99. every time. (except for yoda of course. hehe. that one's still $65 @ redford) (you might want to stock up)

if hasbro was smart, they'd make the quigon and dooku sabers next -========- but thats a pretty big 'IF' ... considering how they changed the design of the obiwan FX - for the worse! (heh)

the FX sabers are neat, too bad the blade can't retract. Master Replica did make an excellent Qui Gon saber but I couldn't get the funds together before they discontinued it.

Well, if you're looking for a Yoda FX budk.com still has them in stock.
budk.com/yoda-force-fx-lightsaber/p/14%20MASW217/c/6015/
They were a dealer at DragonCon. Of course, I couldn't get an FX saber home on the plane, so I picked up one of their catalogs, went to their web page and ordered one online. They shipped it right away. Reasonably priced, too.
I like the Yoda one since the handle is just right for my hand. And it seems to be the loudest FX saber, too.

I've noticed Walmart.com and target.com as well as a few other places have the Qui Gon saber listed...

www.ultrasabers.com is a great place for conversions. It doest hurt to give them a call or email and ask them a question. BTW, they do have a Dooku FX saber as well as an Obi-want Episode 1 Saber.
