Beware of scott robb

I know its my own falt but I just wanted to inform you all that on the jedi council board a person named scott robb asked for film ideas. I gave him one and he asked for my name so I could get the credit for it. he already had my first and last name from my email profile. I confirmed it not realy thinking about it. I also sent the whole script to him and have never heard back from him.

It has been two weeks since I have heard anything from him. He had my name from the get go my thought is this might be a ploy to steel your Identity. Be ware I have emailed him 4 times and he only replyed the two that I posted. I do not mind him using my scene if that is in fact what he plans to do. but a reply would be nice. evey one should beware of this person.

As I said before I dont mind him using it but I just want to know if thats what he realy wanted or is he trying to steal my identity.

Just beware...... I would hate to see this happen to anyone elce.

He probably means the forums at theforce.net as they call them "the Jedi Council"....not here.

Found the thread boards.theforce.net/fan_films/b10015/28292522/p1/?6 page 2 has ze fro's "dumb bantha" comment.

Ze Fro, thanks for the heads up about this guy. Make sure you keep hardcopies of all the emails you sent him and that he replied to...I would then just keep an eye out for anything (fanfilm, book, etc.) that has a version of your story. If something does, and you can link it to him, you can possibly make a case for having it taken off the market or getting the correct credit (including monetary compensation)

And don't worry, you are certainly not the first to fall for something like this!! Way back when, when phishing identity theft emails first started appearing, I fell for one big time. Thankfully, it all worked out okay...hopefully you will suffer no ill effects from this one!!! ;D

I really would like it if he uses my saber battle in fact that is what I was hopping for that is why I contacted him. I just think that he was trying to get peoples names so he can steal there identities. I really would hope that know one Else falls in to this trap thats why I posted the warning.

If he trys to steal my identity I will go so freakin sith on him.......

Thanks again for the head's up....in this day and age a warning can certainly go a long way if heeded. ;D ;D

On another note, If all he got was your name, I don't think he will be able to steal your identity...unless he is a super hacker (and then, he probably wouldn't have to contact you at all!!). You would have had to give him a lot more information, such as your Social Security number or something that could lead him to your Social, credit card info, etc. If you are really worried, sign up for credit monitoring with one of the 3 major credit reporting agencies, like Equifax. They usually provide you with info on changes to your credit file that day, and you can put a stop to it. LOL, unfortunately I only know all this because someone stole my husband's identity a few years ago, and we were able to prevent major damage this way.

Anyway, yes, do please keep us informed, and thanks for the warning about this guy!!!

My dad and I were talking about this and he was telling me that people from other countries will try to get your first and last name then they turn around and sell it to some foreigner that wants to come to the states. thats how some of them get here. but I'm not that concerned yet. its been two weeks since a reply and I emailed him yesterday asking why he hasn't answered any of my questions or said thanks since I sent the full battle script to him. who knows maybe hes just really busy

Why is one in the uk and the other is oviously a us e-mail?
