The con has officially started.
Con*Cept is a rare opportunity for TJA to be seen in Canada, last year the whole convention was a great success, this year starts good, had a TJA pannel that was a success, regardless of the low participation (2nd activity after the beginning of the con - even our members barely could make it :-P )
I talked about the Jedi costume, and the TJA regulations, the props... a whole hour in front of non-members that seamed to enjoy.

Heres my report on my first day ( saturday ) It was fun. As always, Mr. Bulloch is very nice. Olos, Starkiller and I took a few group pics with Jeremy for the TJA. Very nice. Olos took pretty much all the pictues. But i have mine with MR Bulloch for the autograph signing. Very friendly. I spoke for about 20 minutes early in the morning. Its my second time with him.  |

The Fan Table of TJA.   Some action shots:   The Guest of Honnor - Mandalorian Boba Fett actor Jeremy Bulloch  Jeremy and his wife were very nice to talk to. I have a few more pictures. I took about 114 pictures during the con, but about half of that are at the Alliance Mixer (party) and some are for other costuming groups, namely the mandalorian mercs and the klingon assault group. I have only about 12 pics that are TJA-worthy. Leda you definately missed a good con - it wasn't as fun as last year, mainly because we didn't have as many people as last year - and having you would have changed that. I personally didn't see the day pass, exception to the time I had to manage my transportation - my car is just plain too old, and begging me to send it to the scrapyard. |

The table looks great guys! And what about those pictures from the mixer? not TJA worthy? lol! Gee I wonder why!  I see I missed a good time at the con, but mostly I missed hanging out with all of you! |

Con*Cept 2008 will be held on October 17-18-19 at the Days Hotel (same as previous years) www.conceptsff.ca/However, the same week-end there is the "Haloween Festival" in Blainville www.montrealhalloween.com/I will spend some time in Con*Cept again this year, but without manning a formal TJA table. I'm looking about spending some time at the Haloween festival in Jedi gear, as I think it will bring more visibility to TJA in a bigger event then in a smaller one with redundant visitors from previous years...  |
