He's kinda busy. Talked to him yesterday by phone, he's part of a big production, they're shooting some day and night scenes in the eastern townships, then he's going up north.
I'll see him this week-end, and maybe Stey-Fan as well, so we'll have time to talk.

What costumes everybody is planning to bring?

Generic Jedi
Maybe E.U Darth Vader
Star Trek Enterprise crew suit
Matrix reloaded Neo ( if finished )
I was hoping to go as Anakin with all my upgrades but Stephen ( Starkiller ) im pretty sure will bring his. MAybe i could bring my clone wars anakin armor

Being that I'm to man both TJA and KAG tables, I will most likely wear mainly - some weird alien species Jedi - Klingon wearing some fancy monk-like tunics all at once  Seriously, I'm thinking Klingon-Jedi cross-over. we'll see how good it goes. In addition, if I can manage to finish it, I'd be wearing a mandalorian armor for pictures with Jeremy Bulloch. Problem I forsee is having gauntlets and helmet before in addition to my work-in-progress armor before the Con. Stey Fann, we need to talk ST:Enterprise jumpsuit |

why, you dont like the ST Entreprise serie. Ok its not the TOS ,TNG, movies or Voyager. BUt alest its way better than DS9 LOL. Well i still have my TOS outfit. But Entreprise outfit is pretty oncommon. And i love to show. The cross over they did like in the TOS mirror episode. And I dont see myself in tight spandex suit like TNG. Sadly im in good shape but not that good. LOL

Olos, are you pretty much done with you helmet and gauntlets, the rest of the armour is a piece of cake to put togetther.

You got me wrong, I love the enterprise jumpsuit, one of my fav costume in the ST universe. I want to get one so we troop together as for the gaunts and helm, I don't think I'll have time to them from scratches before the con. I'm not even sure I can manage to have one shipped early ennough for me to paint. did I mention I don't like moving? anyway, if I don't get a helmet before the con, I won't be able to troop with the armor  |

i would love to go with my anakin gear but i still have my hair pretty short and i have a wig but i just look like a drag queen LOL. My only option would to go as anaing clone wars era but i when last year with my anakin gear. MAybe next year with my long hair

I received an email from the Con*Com for Con*Cept 2007.
trough our participation and fan table at Con*Cept 2007, TJA is invited to participate in "transwarp" that will happen on friday.
Mainly, we are allowed either
- 1 hour
- 30 minutes
- 2 shots of 30 minutes (for maybe french / english of the same thing)
that is mainly used to demonstrate what the club is about. Some clubs put power points and talk, some have prop construction workshop, some have meetings.
Seing how we're trying to raise interest in the Jedi culture, and raise membership, I think this is a great opportunity.
We are requested to "reserve" our participation to "transwarp" ASAP.
I believe we should start by choosing what is it we'll want to do. We need to act quickly, so here's some quick ideas.
1 - Informative meeting about TJA with whoever is present
2 - Lightsaber building session
3 - Lightsaber combat session
4 - Jedi costuming workshop
If anyone has any better ideas, please do post. If anyone thinks we should stay away from the whole idea, please post as well: we're requested to inform the con*com of our participation ASAP.

Yes, its on what they call "transwarp friday" . Its the best occasion to make publicity for TJA; pannels aren't club-oriented.
I think we should have an hour presentation on what is a Jedi Costume, and what is accepted by TJA. That would be the best.
