While some props won't be allowed for casual wear during the con, there will be a room with a photo setup for costumers that will be open all day.
All gear will be allowed there, although some discretion on the way is recommended.
SOOOoooooo if you have a blaster or some spiked stuff you think won't be allowed for the con, you can still use them in pictures
