Con*Cept : Heavy Duty costuming panel

My SG25 team leader hs managed for us to have an X-Trem Costuming pannel at the con.

This panel will take place immediately following the Masquerade.
We look forward to seeing some cool stuff.
You will make the panel a success.
I have discussed the this panel with [the con prez] and she has giving me her blessing.


Well, the title of this panel is to be " Heavy Duty costuming" I am afraid the French title is still outstanding.
This costuming panel is designed to give people a chance to show off their COMPLETE costumes on which some have mortgaged their homes in order to pay for them.
I stated that I will be responsible for this panel and so I shall. It is being sponsored by Chantal Brodeur who as a past conchair will certainly lend an aura of respectability.
But seriously and all joking aside, this panel is designed to give people a chance to show off their movie-accurate costumes in a private and intimate setting. The hour of the panel lends itself to adult programming.

The idea is for people participate in this panel with ALL of their costuming accessories for a particular costume.

We would like to remind the gentle reader and prospective participant that all accessories should be transported with the utmost discretion in order to avoid offending the natives.

I think it would be great if TJA have the fan table closed by that time and manage to go to that panel as a group, all in Jedi garb, with several props.

I know I will bring a few sabers myself.

Oh yes! Absolutely! I have a holoprojector I can bring. And a few sabers. None made by me, though.

Yes, can't wait to see that one.
Seing how no-one will be able to carry firearm-looking props in normal con time, every costumers will most likely meet at that single pannel with their non-security-approved props. It can only be fun!

Do you know what time the convention starts on Friday? When do we have to be there to set up our table? I can't seem to find hours for the con posted on the site... I'm probably overlooking it.

I booked a hotel... the Days Hotel and conference center... Funny, I think I stayed there last time I was in the city. It was called Days Inn at that time.

I'm going to Drive up on Friday morning, and leave on Monday.

I'll have to buy the registration at the door.

Days Inn and Days Hotel is the same place. I am not quite sure why it changed name.

I didn't see a planning either, but expect the place to open around 6-7.
I believe we'll have the official word when they release the program, which should be soon.
