ok so i'm going to modify my saber hilt to high heaven. and in that heaven, i hear wizzing and humming. but i dont intend to do my own sound effects. i've looked at the hyperdyne saber sound module, but that looks bloody expensive. would the sound module out of a hasbro work if i connected it to the led circuit i plan on getting?
what i hope to do its make a thin metal tube, about 1/64 of a inch thick, that can slide in and out of the hilt. this tube would hold all the boards and secure the wiring and batteries so nothing would be loose, and i was thinking of turning the end cap of the hilt into the on/off switch via an rotary switch.
would this all work, or am i setting my hopes too high?

Not too high at all! www.thecustomsabershop.comsit down before hitting enter. make sure you do not have a credit card handy ('cause you WILL want to max it out). remember it's all not real. they have it all there as well as forums to show you how to get it done.................. next to the TJA they are the best resource for Saber building I've seen.

many have used such "sleds" for their internal electronics. It makes securing the guts of the saber easier and allows for repairs if needed. Some use PVC as well.

i just had a idea.
i'm aiming to make my ligthsaber as accurate as possible, and it just dawned on me that lightsabers are known for a gentle vibration. could it be possible to get a vibration module out of a ps2 controller and put it inside my hilt for the effect?

google for "corbins components"...another site to spend money at. lots of goodies for the inside of the saber...including vibrating motors.
