Well I got mine today at a comic store in Toronto. Snagged their last one!
This makes a total of seven sabers in my collection (if you count my double Maul as two sabers).

(if you count my double Maul as two sabers). oh, but that's cheating. Maul is a double-bladed saber

I've seen a few at collectors sotres but they overcharge big time. Soon Toys R Us will get some

Corja bought one online and it ended less expansive then any former models had been sold at Toys R' Us. Might be something to consider... but I agree, getting some specialty products stinks while living up north... that's the only reason I buy online.

I purchased the new Obi-wan FX sabre at Fry's Electronics here in Renton, Wa. for $99. I dont know if all Fry's Electronics are carrying them but I would assume so. It's my first sabre from MR, and I have had my heart set on one of these since I first laid eyes on them at Star Wars.com last year. All of the previous ones I have had over the years were the toy ones so you can imagine my delight when I first held it in my hands, and then activated it In fact, I feel somewhat privleged to have it even. ;D My only misgiving is that the blade isnt removeable. But the effects, and it's feel and sounds more than make up for that. And that it is so heavy so that carrying on a belt is somewhat cumbersome Buying it was what got me started on the idea to get really serious on having a costume, and one worthy of it, and what led me here to TJA. They still have the Obi-wan, and Mace Windu sabres left, but all the red ones flew off the shelf first it seems and hopefully they will restock them soon. I do want to obtain the non-bladed one from MR, (limited edition) but I dont see Obi-wan's at their site anymore so hopefully I can find it elsewhere, maybe E-bay perhaps.

HA!!!
I finally got one!. I do like the way it looks but yes the blade does seem shorter and it does have some weight. I'm hoping a Qui-Gon or an Obi-Wan ep 1 or 3 will be coming down the pipes, I believe the next one is Yoda.
