recently finished mine: still want to do some weathering. Might have to add a pommel in the future if I lack room when I add a sound module. The guts includes 6 AA batteries, a driver and a Luxeon lighting system. more there: a thread about my new saber

I dont really know. I added it to the pic sort of as a joke, showing the antique style vs. new. Im not sure if it would even be possible to make a saber out of, its 110v, with a transformer. Reminds me of stories of ancient sabers that had a cord to a backpack for power. I would be the only Jedi walking around, with a mile long extention cord following me around. hehe

Hehe... that could be a problem.... blocking blaster bolts while trying to avoid tripping on your power cord...

Battery pack and inverter in pouches, wire in the sleeve, you could wire yourself up and use that laser ;-)

Here are my latest ebay acquisitions: The Ep III Obi saber was from an Australian saber maker and is non-functional (not to mention about half the price of an MR Ep III saber). The TPM saber just arrived today! It has an EL blade and is just gorgeous! Brings me one step closer to my "Ultimate Obi-Wan" costume.

Very Nice - Parks Obi and Larbel EL if I am not mistaken...both nicely done and nice aquisitions I am toying with the Obi Ep3 idea - Roman is doing another run of grenades and his are much more accurate than the Parks frags, even though both are too big for the "real" ep3 saber, I have to match the Anakin Graflex with something else custom... ebay ID is tfx studios I believe. There is also a seller by the ID of xion...something,something that has them. These are parks kits I think, as Dave pointed out. The only difference is that the xion seller has pommels without the pre drilled dring hole.

Ki Vaan, I think I saw that auction for the Larbel EL a few weeks ago!
They look awesome! I like the activation box on the Obi RotS....
Anyone know where I can get an insert like that to replace the calc bubbles on mine? Are they custom? My guess is yes...

Lesternessman is right: tfx studios on ebay is who sold the Obi saber to me. He sells completed sabers and individual parts. Leda- he has the correct Obi Ep III circut board you are looking for. Here's a link: search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZtfxQ5fstudiosThe Larbel TPM saber comes up about once or twice a month by a seller from Hong Kong: cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=790&item=7529334205&rd=1I bit the bullet and used Buy It Now for one back in July... but I'm still waiting for it to arrive. I emailed the seller a couple of weeks ago asking what was taking so long- he said that there was a problem machining the saber and he wanted to fix it first. On Monday he told me that my saber was on the way via Hong Kong EMS and would arrive shortly. During the time I was waiting, I saw this auction: cgi.ebay.ca/STAR-WARS-obi-wan-tpm-aotc-EL-lightsaber-AWESOME_W0QQitemZ6551716643QQcategoryZ99971QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemThe whole point of me buying the Larbel HK saber was to install an EL kit- but here was one ready to go. So against my better judgment with my credit card I grabbed this one too. It arrived two days ago. The one from Hong Kong still has to arrive and I will have two Larbel sabers- I'm most likely going to sell the one without the EL blade to get some of my money back.
