Persionally judging the way it looks it looks like anyone could make it. it seems to me it maybe a metal shaft surounded by some kinda of cast resin.
That is basicly what the PT props sabers are so to me the chances of that being an actual movie set prop is very slim and someones trying to make a fortune quick.
I think this is one of them highlevel scames. like the whole thing about graflex bodys on ebay get sold for gobs of cash cause someone advertises it as a sw movie prop.

its from Profiles in History, and comes with 2 letters of provenance. Its a studio used prop. That's why its expensive. Its a part of the movie, ugly, as used on-set.
I personally don't want the resin-made sabers from the studios, they aren't appealing.

WOW! A good downpayment on a house or a car. that could buy more then just a few Star Wars items, like a replica of R2 just for an example but you could build one cheaper at R2 Builders group. Could also go to help a younglings education very nicely. ???Ok whoever out there who has credits & have no idea what to do with go for it. or.................

2saberJedi, I agree... resin ones can be sweet. But the studio props are generally made to be practical more then estaetical, if you see where I'm going. Plus its all beaten down. Yes, yes, its a part of the movie, but still. Maybe if it was Luke's first lightsaber I'd have a different opinion.

Oh heavens, 40-60K for a saber? Dude it'd better REALLY ignight and cut things.
I'd not cough up that kinda' oney for a resin cast. Uh uh. I'm very happy with my .45 scale version. Fits my hand well and IF I were to give it a small EL blade, it'd be perfect for parriyng.

No it was some kinda super ultra specal edition saber that Mr put out.
Persionally the way peopl eoverprice lightsaber stuff like from the films is re*******dicleious.
Like what happened when people found out lukes lightsaber was a graflex, now you can hardly get them for a decent price cause people plaster star wars all over it.
and what about the folks that want to fix the old cameras and not make lightsaber stuff from it. they have to pay such a redicleious price for something cause they plastered star wars all over it.
