Okay so despite my Jedi training, I have learned to accept the fact that blasters exist and in some situations they can be more helpful than a lightsaber. I still stand by the lightsaber and don't carry a blaster at all... But I was just in Michaels and was looking at the glue guns and I thought, wouldn't that be a great way to make cheap blaster? Using a glue gun as a base? www.michaels.com/online/images/product/thumb/fl0053d1.jpg[/img] I mean if you painted it and added some detail like a PVC scope... There is of course the painted Zapper method. I found one at Goodwill for two bucks, snagged it and painted it silver and black, I think I'm gonna add a scope and maybe the words "Nintedo Zapper" in aurebesh (as an homage)... But yeah, those are just a couple of ideas, does anyone have any more? And if you've already triend either of these, tell me what you think, cuz these might end up on my projects list and I'd welcome any tips or tricks. Thanks!

Ah, the Nintendo Zapper. What a classic blaster prop! That was a great find!
I like your idea of the "homage" in Aurabesh.
I've seen a few people make blasters out of glue guns before and the looked cool.
A PVC scope is a good idea. Maybe a few more "greeblies", but I think I would keep it fairly simple.

When I was a young lad I had a light gun which I used to pretend was a blaster - and only now do I realise just how fantastic it would have been as a blaster prop, with a little dressing up. It was black, but I have no idea what game system it came from (could have been some obscure arcade machine). I've never seen anything like it again, and I have no idea where it went. The Zapper is excellent, but everyone knows the Sega LightPhaser is infinitely more powerful! (does anyone watch purepwnage?) ;D EDIT: A quick search on Google (with some random luck) has turned up the ligth gun I was talking about! www.memm.de/gameselect/lightgun-e.htmlIts the first one on the page: The one I had was loose and didnt have the buttstock or the additional barrels. darn I want it back!

I've always been fond of the original Lazer Tag pistol...though, the rifle was good, too.

There are so many good/cheap/classic toys that just would make good blasters. Me and some friends have been looking through Goodwill every week or so, in hopes that more stuff like the Zapper would show up. We eventually hope to have enough props for a decent fanfilm. But like the old Nerf guns, super soakers, light pistols... does anyone have anything else I should look out for at goodwill? You know something that I could modify without much effort and bang it's a blaster or hilt or comlink or holoproj or whatever!

Camera and binocular equipment make fantastic props. The old stuff looks industrial but isnt very common - brilliant combination for props!

Hey ya'll, Just lettin you know: I was in Goodwill again today. I picked up another sweet lightgun. I think it's a PSX lightgun but it's got this brand name on it, Naki. It looks pretty sweet actually and I'm thinking of putting a scope on it. Just another great goodwill find I fel like sharing. I'd appreciate the input. Thanks!

www.imperial-fleet.com/bbcforum/portal.phpthis is the PVC blaster forums it has tutorials and bluebrints to make pvc blasters and also has other suggestions for easy blasters, they have made some amazing airsoft blasters on there just look around on another note i wonder if some one could make a nintendo colored jedi outfit, with greys, and dark greys, a little black, and maroon/red. he could be called Nin-Ten-Do i might look into it myself.

Does anyone have any ideas concerning scopes or other blaster attachments? Like what would be simple and easy to attach. Appreciate much. Thanks!
