The same seller has food capsules for a "Buy-it-Now" price and some pretty decent looking pouches, too.
I don't think I'd want to put anything that I'd eat in it unless it were wrapped in a little plastic. You never know what the inside of that capsule is. And I wouldn't want to have to clean them either. A little stack of M&Ms in a bit of plastic wrap could fit in them, I think.
You could clean them easily with a Q-tip and alcohol. I have a set that open up. There's not much room inside. I think could fit Tic-Tacs, or maybe Pez. M&Ms look too big for mine. If any one has a heart condition, I'll bet you can fit your nitroglycerin tablets inside. They often come with a container that looks almost like a Jedi food capsule.

I've dealt w/ this seller also, and, yes, he's VERY easy to deal w/; it helps that he's a Fan, as opposed to a Mundane seller who's just in it to offload stuff. He does have other movie prop paraphrenalia in his eBay Store, but he seems genuinely interested in Star Wars and screen-accuracy items. I've just purchased a Luke Skywalker on Tatooine brown leather belt from him that I plan to make part of my costume, and, @ first, I was bothered by the fact that he didn't accept money orders (that's my whole reason for shopping on eBay!). But then, when I asked him to accomodate me, while he wasn't willing to accept a money order, he did go out of his way to make special arrangements for me to make a payment thru another avenue other than PayPal (I have had a VERY bad experience w/ PayPal that wasn't even their fault!). He's good people.
Now the food capsules idea is an interesting one. I might have to meditate on that one a bit and let the sauce thicken....
...may the Force be with you, or, as they say in text messaging, m8 the Force b w/ u! Later days!

I'm interested I checked amazon.com & it didn't come up. Who has the working food capsules? Where would I go to get the food pills that fit?

Just look for survival food tablets on amazon. The tablets are chewable and so, if they don't fit in the capsule whole, the tablets can be broken up or even powerderized in order to make them fit. Though my capsules haven't arrived here yet I expect to break the tablets up once I buy them. Breaking up the survival tablets won't do anything to the tablets other than allowing them to fit within the capsules (three tablets per capsule).

My food capsules arrived today. It's good to finally have them. There isn't much space within the capsules, as I suspected. As I figured, my idea of using chewable survival tablets will work wonderfully... the tablets can be broken up to fit into the capsules easily. This is excellent! The capsule ends screw on easily and snugly, ensuring that anything held within will remain within. The clips are wide enough to easily accomodate a belt and the nubbed ends will ensure that the capsules remain in place. The paint on the capsules is solid and smooth. Theses are good-looking props. I am pleased with this purchase and I recommend them to anyone who may be interested in them.

no. they are slimmer than AAA batteries inside as I recall...haven't opened one recently. but one of your jedi pouches should do.

I agree with Tenric here... No battery could fit in these food capsules. The entire capsule is close to the size of a AAA battery and so there is no possible way to cram one of those things in there. You could fit approximately 8 Tic Tacs in there, though. Or crush a few survival tablets and slip those into there (you can't blame me for plugging my own idea, here).

I've bought from this seller in Singapore; I got my pouches and boots from him and am quite pleased with the price and quality.

Interesting. The lid holds a compartment for little food cells. The food must be like mega-high energy power bars
