I was thinking you could make a holoprojecter from a case that come with Koss earbud style earphones. Has anyone tried? Is it even a decent idea? Inquiring (and somewhat insane this morning) minds want to know

Heh, I actually had that exact same idea, since I have one, but I think I like the bubble gum tape dispenser idea better.

I have such an ear bud case, and it does indeed look like a good starting point, but it is a bit thick. I tried removing the insert and using just that (and it is promising) but there are issues with the sides neeeding to be filled out and such......still a workable idea I think.

Ahh both are great ideas. Bubble tape container and the ear bud case. Ya' know recycling whatever you have will be perfect. I feel in that area of the galazy as it is here on this world, there would be models of the same gadget.cmade by differant companies.
I've the large bubble tape gum case and a regular version that's already silver. I think I'll end up ruffing it up anyway before priming and painting. I had an idea. of making the primer a black color and the paint silver, so when as it wears, you'd see the casing. Give it a worn distressed look. Whadda' ya think?

Amazing. Ya' know, I've been looking at regular mundane parts and am seeing them as something else. Prop building is so much fun.

Yeah in Anakin's room there is a repainted Lacrosse bat, maybe some kind of radio reciever? I never noticed it until I found out about it, and now it seems so obvious!

I know that one of the things in Anakin's room is sold at PetsMart...my sister pointed it out when she was working there.
