They look pretty good. Where did you get the parts for them?

Well,
The base part is a bubble gum dispencer. Painted it black and copper for a darker look.
The grated part on the top is a drain cover. picked that up at Lowes in the plumbing department.
The button I picked up at Radio Shack.
Under the drain cover is a mirrored material.
Around the drain cover are fancy nails i found at Target.
I am currently working on a actual light up version.

NICE! :-D Those Bubbletape dispensers are great huh? I've one that's already a silver color. Ruja, did you sand it before priming and painting? If so, what grit of sandpaper.

I'm terrible with that.
I didnt have any sandpaper around so I found a sanding sponge, and used that.
It was a fine grit though.
Then I primered it. then painted.

Yeah I've saved a number of bubble tape dispensers to make something out of them... never have though... yet!
Great job with the holoprojector... it looks like it already lights up... you have the button in place, all you need are led's!
And Mynn, my favorite thing to sand with is an emery board. It's shaped just nicely to get in all the spaces that sandpaper can miss. And it's just gritty enough.

Oh sorry If I didnt mention it.
But these are SITH holoprojectors. They were meant to be dark. Just thought I would share with all of you my vision of a Sith one.

Ruja,
Which drain cover from Lowes did you use? If you don't mind me asking. I was at Lowes on Sunday, but could find a drain cover that would work well on the Bubble tape dispenser.

Krylon has a New spay paint that is formulated for just for Plastic, and requires NO sanding to stick. Just wash with soap & warm water to get rid of grease and dirt, then you are ready to paint. M/Modeleers
