;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Hey Lazlo that looks AWESOME!!!, I like how you utilized part of the face texture on the rubber surface for the face design. It adds a lot to the front. The back looks great to. Each comlink it's own personality. They would be boring if they all looked alike. I also like the color, it is a copper color? If so I am going to make my daughter one for her outfit. Maybe I'll try that color. What is the little doo-hicky that you used for the antenna area? Great work. ;)Jedidad

I hand painted it - I use Citadel brand paints (typical for Warhammer Miniatures)
The coppery color is actually called Brazen Brass - I think it's neither Brazen nor Brass.. I also used two silver colors: Mithril Silver for all the highlights - knobs and the back bits - and Boltgun Metal for the grillwork and parts of the antenna. The coppery stuff I used a drybrushing trechnique to add depth and texture to the piece.the rest is pretty much just painted on.
The antenna is made of Lego bits - I got mine from a Lego droideka I had lying around (the "eye" parts) - they are also commonly used as control handles in many Lego minifig sets...
Thanks for the compliment!

Very nice. Guess I have to go and get some funny looks buying a ladies shaver soon, hehe I would have to look up the person that had the nice sheath for theirs, we need the design to make one of those too (Hint, to whom it may concern )

Nice job, Lazlo! I like the color, too.
I'm getting more and more inspiration to build one of these. I should probably just start carrying my razor in the car, so I can go to the hardwars store on the spur of the moment if the spirit moves me.

I have enough parts to do a second one - after watching TPM for the zillionth time I want to do one with a different antenna setup... Chasing perfection never ends, does it?

I put mine in the narrow tall pouch. or if you want, nab one of those belt clips for cell phones and attach it to the comlink. It can be s c r ewed onto the back of the 'link. Some FRS radios use those and they'er great.
I don't always carry my comlink. One of these days I'll finda cell phone that looks as clsoe as I can get to a 'link's size and thickness. I'll add the do dads myself.;-) Might as well make it a working comlink.:-D Freak a few folks out.<snicker> hehehehe

I have one of these phones (unused for now) that I thought might make a good start on a comlimk... it's roughly the same size as the razor and twice as thick.
