My 4 are all silver, and they only cost me about $10 total for the pens off eBay + some round buttons for the ends + some leftover paint from my mini R2 dome. I'm satisfied with 'em, could be a bit better though.

You see to want to buy all of your props.
Why not try making some yourself? It can be very rewarding!

It takes time, not everyone has the time.
Himiko, not all Jedi have the food capsules, and it's not really a 'required' item. Only if you want them. But if you do want some and wanna take a crack at making them, I can walk you through the process.
Sometimes the steadlighter pens can be a pain to find so I usually snatch what looks the closest. If someone is putting their face THAT close to your belt scurtinizing the capsules, they need a life. You'er also in your rights to flick them on the nose and tell 'em the bugger off. :-D heheh heh.

Silver, gold, copper and what looks like a greyish or gunmetel color. Although you don't have to have all four colors. If you want all gold, or all silver or all copper, do what you want. Each Jedi is individual.

Staedtler Liquid Point 7 Pens 4pack The new numbers are #417-9WP4BK for the black ink. There is also other colors, but it wont matter, its the caps you want. I found mine at Staples in 4 packs, but I read that Office Depot also carries them. There's also a couple of vendors on Ebay that carry them all the time. The original Yellow colored tops that they used in the movies have mostly been discontinued, most places ive seen that still carry those are over seas in the UK. For the ends I used buttons as well, La Mode #2064 black from Joann's. Any 7/16" round buttons will work. If your real lucky, your local hobby shop will carry half round plastic hemispheres. I had a tough time getting Super glue to work, so i had to use JB Weld a 2 part epoxy type plastic, then sand the seepage on the edges.

I used ordinary Blu Tac to stick the ends on my food capsules - it worked brilliantly, because I put enough on to go inside the lid and it grips to the sides. Havent had any come loose yet, but you can always reinforce it with superglue.

before you paint anything, use small balls, spherical buttons or thingies called "Hemispheres" and glue that to the open end of the pen cap. It'll look rounded. I gave avariety of items to use to get the same effect if you can't find tiny plastic hemispheres the prop dudes used. Plastic ball-like buttons wotk great. Wal-mart has those too. Emritia has somehow made hers ina manner that they can be opened. She has mints in them.
My first ones, I'd spray painted, my next I'll try hand painting sicne it's what I have. Wal-mart here has the paints for them. It's "Krylon metalic spary paint. Gold, or silver. Snag a clear MATTE finish. Some ruff up the pen caps with snadpaper OR use a primer.(Grey coat of paint), some do both. If you do use a primer, spray a light coat of paint on them, let 'em completely dry before appling a caot of your colored paint. DO maybe 2 or 3 light coats making sure each is completely dry. I usually gave it a couple of hours between coats, cuz it was so humid here. Finish off with a light coat of the matte clear coat.
