Hey, if anyone is buying them off of ebay, you may be paying to much for them. If anyone would like, I could pick the pens up at the Staples near me, and I can just mail them to you. It may be easier like that, and cheaper.

What kind of glue do you use? I have yet to find a readily available glue that holds under anything other than casual wear. I actually use Loctite Quicktile Super Glue Gel - it seems to hold up fine - once the glue dries I go ahead and paint them - the paint acts as a reinforcer for the glue I did verify the color - it is the Titanium - I get the paints at a local hobby store - be warned that the cost per can is higher than most spray paints but I prefer the rich, sharp color Dave

how much are the hobby paints? The cans are half the size of regular spray paint and they cost in the range of $3 to $4 per can - so double the cost, or more, of regular spray paint - I don't remember the exact amount - run a google search on Testors and you will find some dealers or check your local hobby store Like I have said - it costs a bit more but I think the color looks better when done Dave

I made some capsules this morning... Used a pewter colored paint instead of silver... You can check them out here! I got 6 of them so far... Jim's Food Capsules

They look great! I have a bit of advice sand the glue to a smooth finish so you do not get the bumps once you paint your caps. Use a light sandpaper to smooth out the glue that comes out once you put the round plastic on. Other then that good job!! Rudy G.

Yeah, the new food capsules look good.
Those pesky little things. They look good on the belt, but I lost one during the Ep III premier. That was the only cloud on the whole evening. Not a huge loss--I have more--but an annoying one.
I did successfully make some food capusles out of dowel sticks. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. They look good, but I'm not happy with the "clips" I made for them. I'll have to think of a better way.

...Therefore I have locked all but a few for the sake of organization.
Please post any new links, paints, techniques, etc in this thread.
Thanks! Here is another link for an online pen source: www.shoplet.com/office/db/STD4159DZ.htmlAlso, if anyone is unable to order from the internent and connot find these pens locally, please note that Xana has offered to ship pens to you since there is a Staples nearby. Here is the page where the offer was made: apfoister.proboards9.com/index.cgi?board=Props&action=display&n=1&thread=4038&page=2

Gold, silver, copper, and pewter... usually one of each is good.
Kai has an excellent tutorial on her website. Look for it on the links page of our main site!
