egad....3" is wide.... Sigh....I have all of the goodies to do a belt....my current belt is really getting the heck beat out of it...and it is something that I wanted to learn...I have been practicing with rivets and snaps....but ....another project has sucked away my available time.... Nice job Starfire.....really nice! Those food capsules really do look slick!

Eventually I will make a belt that's the proper width... I have most of the parts assembled, except for that elusive Obi-Wan buckle, but mine's comfy because it's curved, so it doesn't dig into my hips, it just sits nicely.

Hey everyone,
Sorry I’ve not been able to drop by lately, busy with the silly season. Lol
Jaryk Lyghtsyder, I bought my leather from a local saddlery supply store.... although that won't help you because I'm in Australia. lol
Thanks for the link, Mon-Jas Charan. I didn’t know you could get them from anywhere other than saberbelt. I was lucky enough to get some rivets from saberbelt a couple of months ago. Occasionally he still lists some to sell on ebay and he may still have some more.
Thanks for the compliment, Schph Gochi. I love my belt. Although I can’t take the credit for the food capsules. It turned out a lot cheaper to buy them off someone else than get the pen lids myself and paint them all up.
I just moved house, and I've been looking at my jedi robes, wondering if I should make any changes or new pieces... lol I should get around to making some pouches for my belt. They'd have to be narrow though, because there isn't much spare space on my belt. I picked up some small scrud pieces that I might be able to use. To anyone who's made pouches, should I go with glue or sew them together?

I guess it depends on your personal preference, and what kind of look you're going for.
I sometimes use both glue and stitching so I know that the seams are really secure, especially when I make a holster.
Do you know the proper way to stitch leather? I bought a basic leatherworking book that taught me how to do it right.
I don't know if it's a good thing (?) that I have plenty of room on my belt for 3 good-sized pouches, though I do only carry one set of food caps.

The only way I can get three pouches on my belt is if I use the larger one in back to cover up the buckle there, which is actually more practical instead of having the black loop of leather to cover that up.
