We got an original Snoopy Snow Cone machine from eBay several years ago. And my mom's original Nintendo still works, too. It's actually hooked up and on our component stand with the Wii, the PS, and the Xbox. We're only about halfway through cleaning the game cartridges, though.
How 'bout... terry cloth shorts with the white piping around the legs and up the side seams? Mine were red.

Lala, now there's a trend we don't need to repeat! Mine were red, too!
I don't have my original turntable, but I have a third generation turntable in my current home stereo system. I've got LOTS of LPs that haven't been re-recorded onto CDs, so I still use the turntable.
I can personally vouch for the dump truck at the drive in. We saw Shrek III earlier this summer. Great fun!

I gotta get into these threads more often.... I remember we NEVER had soda except once in a while on a Sunday afternoon....mom would make popcorn on the stove and us 5 kids would split a quart of generic soda (that came in glass-of course). I also remember some of my Aunt's and Uncle's homes that did not have indoor plumbing....we used the outhouse....always fun in the middle of the night....on the farm...with no lights... and... we were talking about old costumes past at the MWB of the RL and I dug this one up.... My Martian costume... I just turned 19... My boyfriend Don in the photo left for boot camp shortly afterward....this was the Vietnam era... Great costume eh......lol.... wow... what an amazing pic! You look great then and now! Remember Freakies cereal? There were all these characters that came in the box and they all had backstories... there was one named Cowmumble... Remember when you didn't need high tech computer equipment to do a tune up on the car... the only thing you really needed special was a timing light!

I am sooo excited that I just found the DVD of "Summer Holiday" a typical teen flick from 1964 or 1965.. It stars Cliff Richard...now Sir Cliff.....one of the many acts of the British invasion at the time of the Beatles...
I bought two....one for my older sister who was a BIG Cliff Richard fan...and.. of course.. one for me...
;D
now THAT will be a trip down memory lane!
I can't wait for it to get here...

Oooo... remember when Disney took tickets for the rides? And folks used to say "That's an E-ticket ride!" The first time I ever went to Disney World they were still using ticket books.

I remember rotary dial phones.... one of the funniest things I will always remember was when my nephew Joe was around 6 (he is 20 now).....we were at my Dad's house and Dad still had a rotary phone..... Joe picked up the phone and gave it a weird look and asked us "how does it work?" at that point...I knew I was old... Also....you know you are old when you see furnishings you had for your first apartment/home in an antique store...

Those unused disney tickets probably have collector value!
Remember when you had to plug the phone receiver into the modem? lol! Prodigy and Compuserve!
And noisy old dot matrix printers! HomeWord, Word Star, then DOS... and using the C prompt to run programs! On our first home computer, we had to boot up Apple Basic because it didn't come with it!

I remember rotary dial phones.... What are you talking about? I still have one! Actually it's sort of an antique, plugged into the wall behind a giant bookcase with a gazillion books... I'm not moving that baby until we're actually MOVING! And yes, you CAN use the Internet anyway. ;D I remember at work when we first got e-mail... it was on the same line as the fax and we used to shout down the hall, "Anyone online? I need to check my e-mail." (Lovely : Now I get a constant stream of garbage ("spam" is too nice a word..)

Remember when... cartoons only aired on saturday morning! Remember the dawn of MTV? Video killed the radio star! I remember sitting by the radio with my little cassette recorder waiting for songs I liked to come on, and I would tape them. I still can't listen to certain songs without expecting to hear a phone ring or my little sister screaming just to mess up my recording!

I so remember that...just waiting for the radio to play it...and thinking technology was so awesome and could it get any better then this?!
