That's Soooo Cool Leda! I liked Davey for his accent! Remember the Monkees would come on before Spider-man and Gilligans Island. Dad would drive me crazy every Sat with HEE-HAW Just not a fan of country music. Some of it sounds like you're swinging a cat by the tail . I liked Lost in Space,Space 1999.My favorite cartoon of all was Star Blazers(1974)

Didn't the Bay City Rollers have a TV show at some point? Lol, go-go gadget Google! Yes, in 1978. I thought I remembered watching that.
Which somehow leads me to thinking about... American Bandstand...

Yeah, funny story there---I was gaga... like a pre-teen girl... I met him during the day at the con, and he asked if I was coming to the party later! I think he though he was getting something... until I showed up in my Jedi costume... then he changed his mind.

Monkees...I used to watch them on TV & listen to their albums ;D I had this album...and a huge crush on Mickey I had that album too!!!...That is the only one I had and I saved up my allowence for three weeks to pay the $2.25 it cost. My Dad said it was a waste of money but that next Christmas, he bought me a stereo to play it on. The only other record I had was my Mom's South Pacific record and I walked around singing it all the time....

I had that one too... I borrowed it from the library... the long term borrowing plan. I learned to draw portraits from tracing pictures of the Monkees' albums. That's funny... I also bought my first record before we actually had a stereo in the house! I took it to my aunt's house and recorded with my trusty tape recorder... hehe.

Every saturday morning I'd meet my little friends at the skating rink (we were like 7..our skate cases were bigger then us!). we'd skate all morning. They would play the 'hokey Pokey' and whoever screamed the loudest would win a Little Deddie...I won quite often...guess I've always been loud and obnoxious

According to my parents my early years were quite satisfactorily summed up by the Calvin & Hobbes cartoon strip. My first record was (it's hard to type now) a Partridge Family album. I had a small briefcase style record player to play it on. My mom had lots of Elvis records so I know most of the words to those as well..... Got my first color TV when I was around 7 years old. Used to drive my mom crazy singing "Joy to the World" by Three Dog Night when I was 4 or 5 years old....changed my tune to "Desperado" when the Eagles released it. Had the original G.I. Joe (with Kung-Fu action grip) too.... Billy Dean's song "Billy the Kid" also sums up my pre-technology days.... now I need to go do something "young" since reading this thread has made me feel kinda old and outdated......

lol... nah... we're all grown up now... I may be getting older but, I'll never grow up.
Or to quote my son, Grant, who told his teacher last week, "If he grew up, he wouldn't be my dad.
