Hey I think that some of the jedi should have orange blades I mean if they can have silver blades why not orange (silver blade introduced in KOTOR 2 just for anyone who didn't know). If you read my character profile he uses an orange lightsaber with a firebrand hilt. I'm still fairly new to the whole SW universe... but it KOTOR 2 refers to the KOTOR 2 video game, they introduced orange sabers as well. As soon as I found that out I may have used a cheat code to get a whole bunch of orange crystals so my entire team could roll with my favorite color...

KoToR2 has several different color blades (verillion, silver, violet...) that it allows, but then again, it's also a thousand years before the trilogies.
I've always held the philosophy that the jedi makes the blade, not the other way around, so if they choose a different color focusing gem, it's their thing.

Plo keen is very confusing bc in the video game released on Play station, Jedi Power Battles, plo koon is in it and carries a yellow lightaber. So it seems like maybe lucas did intend on his blade being yellow.
