I have been trying to get in the Rebel Legion for over a year. So I updated my costume and took new pics. Man they can be picky! Do me a favor and go over these pics. www.skypirate.net/cosplay/ac2007_proofs/index_62.htmDo you think they will cut it? Fifth times the charm!!!!!!!!

It looks good to me. Well the Rl somehow keep rejecting a customer of mine whos jedi gear I was contracted to make. I'd made others' gear and which were accepted except this guy wasn't. Noone gave a reason.
He'd been trying for two years with the same gear. Both people's suits were spot on 'cannon'. They looked as if they were REAL jedi. The garb is built better than anything that walked off the sets. These men and women can actually live, move and fight in my stuff and it stays together. and it's washable.:-D
Your stuff looks great. :-D good work.

I'm a Base CO in RL. While I can't explain some of the rejections, I usually (it's supposed to be every time) get an email when a prospective member of my base is rejected and there is always a reason given.
Ka-Faraq, while your costume looks good, the photos might not be adequate. 1. the pose needs to be very plain: standing head on to the camera, hands at sides so all costumes pieces can be seen. 2. the images are probably too low resolution (too small). they have to be high enough resolution so that the costume can be seen clearly. I can hardly tell whether there is a belt and I certainly can't see a buckle.
A lot of rejections have to do with poor image quality or poor photographic technique, such as poor lighting (too dark) or not showing the entire costume. For example, 070317_0255 would be rejected as it doesn't show the whole costume. Some of them are too dark (at least on my monitor, which is optomized for photoshop). 070317_0260 is better, but still too small.

Right. While it looks like your costume is quite acceptable, from the standpoint of the person doing memberships the picture may not be good enough. Like Kai said, it needs to be well lit, full length and as close up as possible. I would also take a picture with the robe off. I think they have a rule similar to our, but I'm not sure. It is possible to take a good picture in a cool pose, but the person doing memberships wants to see the costume. Not necessarily a cool pose. I am doing memberships here for a while again, and I can tell you that a few years ago I would have clicked "accept" for your pictures without a problem. But then we started getting pictures where costumes were hidden under robes, questionable colors, low resolutions, poses that hid some of the costume, and half-length pictures where we couldn't see boots or belts. And even now that we ask for costume descriptions, I still don't get what colors things are. But let me tell you, it helps when they do say what colors their costume pieces are! Even so, just yesterday someone sent in a perfectly good, full length, picture where I could see all costume pieces and colors clearly with a cool pose and ignited lightsaber. I had to put it in pending because he was wearing a robe, and ask for a picture without the robe on. lol! Go figure....... I felt bad, but what ya gonna do? And when I get a chance, I should take some new pictures myself. ;D My first picture to the RL, which is still up, I have my robe on and you can't see my belt at all. The second on is better, so I'm cool.

Pablo Fraga, you recently submitted a request to join the Rebel Legion. Your request has been denied because your picture is too small to see any costume details. Please retake and apply again. Your forum membership is still active, however your account is still a forum only account and does not contain any costumes. If you would still like to become a member and submit a costume, you will need to login and resubmit your costume info by selecting Upgrade Your Account or going to the Join the Rebellion section while logged in. Thank you. May the Force be with you. -- I think Iv'e lost track how many times i've been turned down now!!!! What's it gonna take? ?

That was exactly my concern with the photos you showed us. As I stated: all it will take is a higher resolution photo. Turn the camera setting to the highest possible resolution and re-shoot.

I'm sure it's just the picture. I'd say, wait a while, until you get a shot where you can see every detail, no doubts. What kind of camera do you have?
