Ok... so tonight, to remedy my "Oh my god what has happened to mainstream cinema" lamentations... I watched "Contact" (Carl Sagan, directed by Robert Zemekis) on the big screen... the home projector... and it blew me away. Words cannot describe what a great film this is! Made in 1997, it's really a timeless movie with a timeless message. Truly inspirational, thought provoking, emotional, etc... So well done.

there is a movie I want to see comgin out this year in july. Looks good to me. it would be Transformers the movie

I saw a trailer for "Epic Movie" when saw Eragon. "Epic Movie" looks to be pretty funny. Written by a bunch of the same guys who did "Scary Movie" only this one will entail lots of spoofs of some of our favorite movies -- Star Wars, Pirates, LOTR, Snakes on a Plane, Willy Wonka, Narnia, . etc. Of course, being from them, its bound to be unsuitable for younglings.

OOOOHHH YEAHHHHH!!!!
That Spidey 3 trailer made my eyes pop open and my mind spin. Spiderman is one of the few movies everyone (including my mom!) likes.
Boy, May is going to be something this year. 30th anniversary of Star Wars, CIV, Spidey 3...!
