I only noticed that they were making another Batman, because Liam Neeson is in it. I would have liked 1, if someone had sat on Jack(he should have been a little less manic in the beginning, he had nowhere to go with it, & got boring) 2 was just awful, didn't bother with the rest. This one looks a little interesting tho. I have a Batman collectors edition costume from the 1st film, complete & in pretty good shape, a little peeling on the finger tips, but otherwise very good. I'm thinking of selling it. Our magician at work had the mask alone & just sold it on ebay for $200. Wonder what i could get for a complete suit?

Saw Alien Vs. Predator with me--we enjoyed it. It's a popcorn filck and I went, thinking that. Plan to resee it the Sunday before Dragoncon as hubby hasn't seen it (he was on call for job, plus standby due to storm). But that's all. Might see the new Jet Li one coming out, on my birhtday week after dragoncon as local theater here let's birthday people into see movie free, with a paid admission (which will be hubby). Pam

Someone at work gave me a free pass to a preview of the "Exorcist the Beginning" yesterday, I must say, I was surprised as I was not planning on seeing it, but for free, I figured, why not? I've only seen parts of the 1st one, and never straight thru, but have read the book. I didn't bother to see the film, because I didn't think it could live up to the book, what I've seen of it has me convinced that I was right. As for this Prequel to it..... Much better than I ever expected. However, if you're over a certain age, there is 1 really stupid plot detail, I won't say what it is now, I might spoil the movie for someone. The other holes in the plot are mostly pretty well explained,(I really do get tired of them making the films for the lowest level of intelligence & education) so, OK, but that 1 detail is just not really believeable. I did however think that it was pretty well put together, w/ a good, if mostly unknown cast, the fx were good, and there was a nice attention to most of the period details, 1 in particular made me wince with memories of them from my childhood. This is not a film for the squeamish, some of it is rather strong, all religious aspects aside, it is rated R, for very good reasons, language, sexual content(not that much or that graphic) and mostly for the gorier details & violence. So, I think if you liked the 1st one, you'll like this, It certainly was better than the sequels, which I saw at least most of one of and part of the other, not sure which was which, but they were not good movies. I took one of the younger guys from work, he's a devoted fan of all the "exorcist" films, he really loved it & didn't catch any of the holes in the plot, so, it might be an age & education thing, my particular areas of interest, studies and hobbies are in just the areas that the holes are in, he's much younger & not into any of those same areas of study.

Ok, time to resurrect another old but good thread... Are there any good movies playing? Anyone seen "The Fountain"? This is really the only movie out now that I want to see. I have to catch it before it disappears!

Seen it and loved it...but I wouldn't doubt that some areas might not be showing it...as it's more an art film.

That happens to alot of films that I want to see. I always miss them because of limited release or they pull it early. Warner Bros is notorious for that... grrr... Night at the Museum looks like a fun one!

Didn't see the Fountain--been too busy writing and editing other stories I have coming out. But saw Happy Feet. Eragon, Night at the Museum and today, DreamGirls. Happy feet and DreamGirls great films. Eragon is good, but definitely changes from the book. Bill and i loved Night at the Museum. Like to see more, but doubt--wait for DVDs. besides have too many DVDs got for Christmas plus a friend got us Torchwood and Robin Hood only being seen on BBC right now, so plenty to see when I'm not writing or catching up on my own reading. LOL besides the fact I might be doing a film myself--a horror flick. Got an email beginning of this month that passed audition. Now waiting to hear back--have to sign contract before I even say more. Ooo... nice! Good luck, JMD! Miss Potter is due out on the 29th. I can't miss that! The Fountain is only playing in New York City at obscure times, like 5am and 11:55pm. I would like to have seen it on the big screen. The cinematography is supposed to be excellent.
