Ep III as long as ROTK, well I'd sure love it, or twice as long would be fine too! Nope, no fast forward for me, I love epic battles! The Goblin might have been in the comics when I read them, but I guess he wasn't that memorable to me, mostly remember D. Doom, D. Ock, & Sandman. Went to see King Arthur, was not to bad, but, Saxons with Crossbows strained the credibility more than a little bit! Storyline was very different from the usual Arthur, Gwen, Lance & Knights of The Round Table sort, but I l;iiked that aspect of it, it was at least set in the right time period, though there were more than enough anachonisms going on(like the crossbows, a later invention, I believe) But the Ice Battle sequence was very cool, all puns intended! I liked the guy who played Bors.

Want to see King Arthur--we'll see. Told son will go see Spiderman 2 with him though so will see. I, Robot came out today. Then there's Thunderbirds, which hubby wants to see since he's a fan of TV show since a kid. And AVP, of course. JMD

I Robot was much better than I expected it to be, the plot made actual sense. I saw Troy yet again today & then Stepford Wives, which was a lot of fun, and I got a huge surprise, there was Roger Bart playing a gay guy again, which is really funny cos he's not, he's got more girlfriends chasing after him than you can beat off with a stick, and at least 1 teenage daughter. The guy in the film is kinda like the character in The Producers that he played.

I just saw The Bourne Supremacy, and it was great! I didn't like the jerky camera moves, but the plot and action was cool. My girlfriend hasn't seen the first movie but still liked this one- so it's a good stand alone film instead of just a sequal. I hope they make a third other recent flics: I Robot rocked! I want to read the book now, but the movie's only inspired by it, not actualy derived from it. Oh yeah, and Catwoman is doing better then I expected. I work at a theater and could see it for free, but I still don't want to - but plenty of people have thrown their popcorn about in there, so it must be exciting enough

Don, do you need the Air freshner after each showing, I hear it's a real stinker, went online & even the fan reviews were at best saying that it was just passable. That's pretty bad, they usually love everything, even stuff the critics have really blasted.

I saw Spiderman 2 finally... I really liked it. I probably won't see it in the cinema again, but I'll buy it on DVD whenever it comes out. Anyone see F 911? Somehow I feel like I should see it just for the "yeah I saw it" factor, but I'm not sure if I want to.

Yeah, I saw it... it was about what I expected but much more obsceen. It does have some good points, but it's presented with such bias that it won't change anyone's minds.

Right, I did hear about the biased presentation.

Yeah, I ROBOT rocked, nothing like the books, except it was consistent w/ the 3 laws of robotics, even so, I figured it out before the end, mostly because the other ending was just to simple & to obvious, so, I went to the other option. Saw The Village with some from work the other night, interesting & well done, but I think I might have like a different ending, and I saw it coming, before it got there, paying attnention to the visual clues & certain script lines. It does pay close attention to all the period details and the entire look is very lush, I thought that the girl in the lead, (Ron Howard's daughter) was really good and Adrien Brody was marvelous as well.

We saw I, Robot and loved it. Though only based on Assimov's stories. We saw Thunderbirds last week, as both Bill and i fans of show growing up. And I kinda enjoyed it and yes, Bill Paxton looked like the lead puppet/father in the supermariottnation series. Didn't see King Arthur-most likely won't till DVD. Do want to see The Village as I like scary stuff (heck, I write it and publish it) and of course, Alien Vs. Predator. Looking forward to that. Than that's it, until September and see Sky Captain and World of Tomorrow, since I now have the T-shirt (gave it to Bill as X-lg and have lost much inches and weight to wear medium now-LOL). Bought Hidalgo on DVD--even thouh need save every penny for Dragoncon. Pam

I loved HIDALGO, it was way to much fun, not all was believeable, but well that's Hollywood. I had heard the story of Hidalgo along time ago, part of growing up horse crazy. I really liked the horse they used in the film. I saw an interview after the film where Vigo Mortensen said he bought the horse because he fell in love with it during filming. It's been a pretty good summer for films so far. Yeah, I'm looking forward to Sky Captain too. I am really looking forward to Alexander the Great, I love sword & sandle epics and this makes 2 this year, you could almost say 3 if you included King Arthur, which isn't one, but comes close at times, it's that Roman thing.

I saw the Village, too. I really liked it. Like you, Nova, I guessed the ending (at least most of it) but it didn't detract from it for me. I kept watching for the director's cameo. I have to say that's the bests cameo I've ever seen. It's great how he keeps sneaking into his movies. What I read in the reviews was very true, that he scares you with the sounds and not so much the visuals.
