What ya seen lately?
************Possible Spoilers************
I saw Harry Potter tonite. Eveyone said it's better than the first two, but I found the bit about Bucksbeak kind of disturbing. I know, I know they fixed it, but still............
Troy was surprisingly good. It stuck colse to the original story. And Brad Pitt was pretty good in it.
What's everyone else seen?

Possible spoiler..........
Harry Potter okay, though the werewolf looked like a long-legged greyhound and the dog more like the werwwolf, on a bad hair day. they forgot Harry getting his permission slip signed by Black, since he is really his guardian, so he can always go down to the village and all.
Saw Troy, liked it. Saw Van Helsing. Loved Shrek 2 and Chronicles of Riddick. COR put me into mind of Dune. Great costumes (I actually met at Ren Faire here guy behind those costume), great SF and all. We also saw The Terminal as sneak preview for free. Put in for Spiderman 2 premiere, hope win a pass for 2 so see it on the 28th. Will see, will see. If not, go see it on June 30th. Want to see King Arthur, I, Robot, Thunderbirds (Bill's big fan of old TV show from 60s since a kid), and Alien Vs. Predator. Pam

Heheheh........ "Ridthingy". I saw Shrek 2 last night with Leda and it was pretty good! I like the "Knights" TV show instead of "Cops" with the pepper mill and catnip.

I saw Troy also. It was a very well done movie and I liked it a lot, however, it didn't really stick to the "true" story, which is a myth. It mixed two different stories together.

You think that's bad, Schph? Last movie I saw was "Treasure Planet" when I was still in Michigan! In fact it was on teh day we were "supposed" to move down here, but our moving truck never got to the rental place so we had to postpne it by two days. So everything was packed and turned off (except heat, thank goodness since it was November) so we went to the movies instead.
Karm jas done a little better, he saw "Shrek 2".
I really want to see "Garfield" even though I heard it was not that good.

Eek! Sorry, that was Chronicles of Riddick! My fumbling fingers, or maybe it's the computer demons. Hubby wants to see Garfield (he's a big Garfield fan), but guess that and Around the World in 80 Days will be DVD rentals or bought DVDs for us in the Fall. I put in for winning pass for two to see Spiderman 2, even if don't do plan to see that next. Pam

I might go to see Chron. of Ridthingy tomorrow after work, or might catch a couple of others. I could end up at Troy again, just for that duel between Achilles & Hector, that was spectacular sword choreography, but they're in the same multi so I'll most likely see both, and maybe something else. After I got back from the Queen Con in Cleveland, I had a sewing commision with a serious deadline, the wedding was this weekend and it was for the MOH, who finally got back to me about 21/2 weeks ago. She was lucky that the style was really simple, or she might have had a trouble. But I finally got to sleep last night, or to bed anyway, I was so tired I couldn't fall asleep for awhile. But the dress was a great success, she said she'll come find me to make her wedding dress, eeeekkkkk! I used to do them occasionaly, but, thier mothers would drive me nuts! It can pay well though. Now to finnish a couple of things I'm in the middle of & start some serious sewing for Dragon Con & CIII! A gang of us from work went the 1st night to HP III at the IMAX, that was fun, I kinda liked the werewolf shape, and really loved the Hippogryph, that was lovely. Thought the Dementors were really pretty well realised as well, didn't mind the changes in the story to much, at least they didn't leave any noticible gaps in the plot this time.

I've missed most of what I've wanted to see of late.
Definitely didn't miss Harry Potter. Many in my local Star Wars groups also have HP costumes, so we were invited to add "flair" to the opening weekend of the Science Center's IMAX HP. We had a good time and hopefully entertained those waiting in line.
I really liked the film, too. Have gone again, since. I found Prof. Lupin an even more sympathetic character than in the book.
