With the lessons learned from my botched PVC saber, here is the almost completed metal version (it is to have a 13 trace circuit board as an activation plate, but is otherwise complete) What do people think? Master Em-Borr, Seda, your opinions are most requested, as your sabers are so similar to this one. Behold!

It actually looks pretty cool, and if its metal and has some weight to it then it shouldnt do too badly. I would be able to say more than that if the picture was a bit better, you cant really see much. Personally, I'd put a graflex clamp on it for the activation switch, but thats just me ;D The saber does llok great though, get some better pics up!!

Thanks, I was really keen to get your opinion of it It's almost entirely metal, except for the ridged upper grip and the PVC pipe which I used as an interior core to hold the different diameters together. It actually weighs more than my curved saber, which surprized me. I'll have to weigh it and find out how much, as it'll affect shipping costs You and your graflex clamps At least you've started using covertecs, so that's a step in the right direction I'm a bit limited for hosting space at the moment, and the saber is still in a state of construction (Decided on a few more additions since posting the pic) but once it's completed, I'll post pics from all angles

Thanks, I have to admit, I'm getting pretty fond of it myself, and although I still prefer my curved saber, I think I'll make myself another like this for my collection The additions I'm planning are upgrading the windscreenwasher grips (two strips next to each other) with some wider grips more like on Anakin's ROTS/ANH saber (which I only decided to order having already mailed the money for the circuit board...DOH!!!) and finding something to go inside the emitter (to cover the support dowel which is currently visible) Other than that, it's pretty complete
