That's a fantastic saber, Kai Rhann, my apologies for not commenting before. You mention you normally make metal sabers, have you any plans to re-make the saber in metal? I wouldn't have thought it would be very hard to do, as the design is so simple and elegant

Thanks, Tanzan. I've not decided to make that particular one over in metal, but may do a similar one. After all, it's pretty simple in design, so it would be a small matter to do in metal. Right now I'm playing about with a Dark Woman saber. I'm using a combination of PVC and Epoxy Putty. So far, so good. Not a masterpiece by any means...but should turn out okay.
Thanks again... ~Kai Rhann

You're very welcome You're right, it certainly wouldn't be dificult to do over in metal Have you seen the tutorial I wrote for a Dark Woman-esque saber? I didn't have putty to use, but had good results from coating twine with cyanoacrylate Good luck with your project, I'd be interested to see the finished saber

I indeed saw the tutorial, which is what had reminded me that I had wanted to do that saber. I use epoxy putty quite a bit in making models for my role-playing games, so I'm more familiar with it as a medium. The stuff I use is for plumbing and actually contains steel dust. Pretty strong stuff... I'll post pics whenever I get finished of course...

I've never really done much in the way of sculpting, but it certainly sounds like a good medium, I'll look forward to seeing the finished saber
