I found this really neat Lightsaber site. alw.180.net/index.asp?id=2I thought i'd share it with you all.Has anyone been to this site before or bought anything from them? Theres a neat section lower on the page where you can buy a lightsaber that can actually come apart. it has all the pieces as if it were a real working piece. Comes with a handbook as well explaning each componet as well.

Hmmmmm, lightsabers with parts in them. Sounds like a fun idea. I'm not really wow-ed by the designs; too much color. I'm a basic-black-and-silver-maybe-gold Jedi myself.
Their prices range around the same as the EL lightsabers, so it could be an expensive toy. I don't think I'd really do much with a lightsaber with parts unless I needed it for a prop for a fan film.

Have patience my fellow Padawan. It took me several emails before I got any response from them, but they will get back to you one of these times! From what I hear they keep having problems with their email servers. Kind of a drag really.

Let me know what you all think.. or if it might be worth getting something from them. ALW has been a source of inspiration for me ever since the first time i stumbled onto it some years back, and still is. I studied art so I absolute adore the ornate and colourful espects of their sabers...
When I first came across the site I SOOO wanted to get a few sabers from them but couldn't afford it. Now I can, but have since learnt to make my own sabers. My favourite are their organic looking sabers.
For those of you who like to look at the inner working of a saber here're some threads you might want to check out:

Hmm, I'm not too keen on the designs, and the colors are a little garish, but, I really like the quality of the paintjobs

Been there before. A little to pricy for my taste. (then again anything over 70 dollars is to expensive for me .)

as to Randomsabers. They are really busy right now with both orders and preparing for a CON event they will attend as vendors.
there is a site in the hilts link section that will custom make a saber insert for you to match the length and width you specify. They will add a colored crystal of your choice. this way you can have "saber internals" for your custom made hilt.

They'll answer. it just might take some time. Try sending with the high priority flag checked. I did that initially and got through.
