Here is what alot of you have been waiting for(I know I have) the Obi-Wan EP.III FX saber from Master Replicas. Rebelscum just posted some pics from an MR convention. Here is the link and the pic of the Obi-Wan saber: www.rebelscum.com/gallery/mr-pretoyfair-05/image3.aspI can't wait to get mine! Also Darth Maul's FX saber is here, along with Qui-Gon's hilt saber.

My friends and I were just discussing the other day how awesome it would be if Master Replicas made a Darth Maul FX saber. Incredible.

I just dont like how they had to enlarge the emitter to make the blade work on the Obi. Not that they had a choice.

They should have done his Episode I & II saber or done something but I don't really dig the look of it either. Maybe MR should get some lessons from Jeff Parks. Is MR doing costumes too? Because I went far enough along and saw this.... www.rebelscum.com/gallery/mr-pretoyfair-05/image30.aspIf they really plan on it then we will finally have a pretty acurate costume.

Yes, they are making Anakin and Obi-Wan replica costumes as well. They look like crap, though... Prototypes or not. Most fan made costumes look better.

and since the prototypes usually look exactly like the production models you would basically be buying a very over priced bath robe... oh boy!

Not much you can do with a 1" blade into a 1/2" body...even the Obi-wan stunt sabers were thicker necked

The neck of Obi-Wan's Ep III saber really presents a problem for an FX blade. I don't really care for the look of the final product, but there was no way for them to get around it unless they wanted to put a lot more work into it.
I would think that they only way they'd be able to ship the Darth Maul saber is if it comes apart in the middle. But it's not obvious in the pics that it does. Probably would be twice the price of the regular ones.
The costumes look OK in the pictures, I suppose, though the facing of the inside front of the robe doesn't look that great. Does the Obi-Wan robe look like velour to anyone? I think I prefer my own work. Cheaper, too.
The BOOTS do look like they might be acceptable. I wonder if they sell them separately and what sizes they have?

Ok. Where are the pix of the Obi-Wan costume? I'd like to see it. I know they got the Anakin version done. I also heard that MR is making the costumes but I think, I could be wrong, but Museum Replicas is selling the costumes. I don't know for sure. I know I'm still buying the Obi-Wan lightsaber? It's not listed on the MR site yet.
