Ive been searching for a very inexpensive solution to just a hanging saber prop for the time being. I think I may have found it. What do you think? I completely painted everything by hand. Its light, Inexpensive and It'll take the wear and tear Without fear as a belt accessory. (mainly under a robe) Ill use my Master replica Saber for appearances and photos. The painting I think Brought some life to this piece. Im very happy with the paint job ;D

Wow, what is that? I can see a blend of quite a few saber styles in there - is it from one of those build your own hasbro kits?

Yup, that's from the Hasbro kit. I recognize the pieces.

Pretty good looking though, would make a nice RandomSaber with a dueling blade on it.

I got to see one of them today, and honestly, I wasn't real impressed. Nowhere to get a good grip, flimzy, and unless you paint it there's not really all that much to choose from. I was really dissapointed, ruined my day really.

that makes sense... it's a bit more real than designing on paper...

I primed and painted everything several times. I also used a textured rubber paint for the handle ribs and a metallic paint that ripples when dries for the part of the emitter. I was also going to add some distress marks to disguise its material. Once painted everything fits snuggly together and doesnt wiggle at all. It serves me as a pretty stylish flashlight when im out on Hallos eve. ;D And after the Halloween party I might not have to add any distress marks as everyone will be want to to hold it. (which is why my Other $$aber will be locked up for the night)

If the finished product looks as good in person as it does in the photos, I may have to break open my kit and give it a shot.
