Hey everyone, I was looking at a czech Obi-Wan fan site and on the promotional pictures I saw that Obi-Wan's hilt seemed different from the one offered by MR. This may be old news, but it's just something to talk about. www.cswu.cz/obiwan/obi/ep3poz/23.jpgit looks wider just under the emitter in the aboe link www.cswu.cz/obiwan/obi/ep3poz/25.jpgin that link the hilt looks completely different under the emitter section, was Ewan uncomfortable with the design MR copied?

Its all explained in one of the webdocs for episode 3 on the star wars site - the stunt sabers were just moulded resin or plastic and a few of them looked quite the different than the hero one. They even had rubber hilts that were chrome plated - seeing a saber hilt flop around sure looks surreal

Looking at those pictures, I'd say the saber looks identical... The bronze section directly below the silver 'bell shape' of the emitter is the same width in both pictures, it's just being viewed at different angles... Also, in one photo, Ewan is holding the saber much higher up the hilt than in the other, which obscures part of the hilt which is visible in the other...

Its definatly a stunt, its what they use on most pictures so they can rotoscope the blade
