Great design!!! I'm planning on sending them some plans to make me one. But first I got to get a job to get the money I guess i'll have to stick to the hack saw and plumbing department of lowes. By the way... like the hot pink grips, what kind of saber is it?(stunt, EL, hilt, etc.)

thanks a lot, i wish i could take credit for the pink on my own but i got the idea from another saber on their site, it is a stunt saber, later on in the year i might ask if they can make me a pink blade to go with my saber (im down to my last spare cash right now, after getting this saber, clip and my belt and pouches im gonna be totally broke), if they cant i will prolly have to make it myself

Well if you think about it most of the sabers on that site are nothing more than the ideas people got from the already built sabers, and wanted their own. It would be nice though if they could make replicas concidering a $50 flat payment (although im sure they would raise the price)compared to the master replicas $100 dollars or more. any way looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

what do you mean $50 flat payment? sabers that cost 50 usually arent very detailed, mine is costing me $100, design is 70, rush order is 10 (and im handing out randomsabers buisness cards at conventions) shipping is 8 and my belt clip is 13

What I meant was the basic lightsaber(meaning not alot of detail and such, which that will most likely be what mine is)

That is a really nice design, I'm sure it'll look fantastic I have very mixed feelings about RandomSabers... Yes, they are exceptionally skilled metal workers, and their finished works are great, but, I've always felt a Jedi should actually make their saber themselves, maybe with a little help if need be, of course, (even if just from PVC) but mainly, I feel the design and physical work should be theirs, that way they can truly say 'this is my lightsaber', not 'this is the lightsaber I had made for me' [End of rant]

oh i have a lightsaber i made myself, but i didnt want to have my costume with just a hardware saber. i wanted something that looked a little more professional (no offense of course to anybody who makes their own hardware sabers) hardware sabers can look amazing, i am just not very skilled when it comes to building things like that

I agree. Wish we could all have a machine lathe and machining equipment.

To me, hardware sabers are ones that are, not only made from assorted things from hardware stores, but when people can look at the saber and tell exactly what each part is, rather than having to be told what the parts where I agree. Wish we could all have a machine lathe and machining equipment. Having a lathe and a milling machine would be a dream come true (especially as I had access to those things when I lived at my parents, as my dad used to be an engineer) The only power tool I used for my last saber was a generic brand dremel for lines running parallel to the tube, a hacksaw for straight lines across the tube, and the rest was all done by hand-filing... My first attempt with those tools didn't quite turn out to plan, but it showed me what I was doing wrong, and the way I should've been doing things, and how to improve for the future

the other problem with really getting myself a perfect saber that will make me happy, im a senior in HS (i just started 2 days ago) and i already have an entire book to read by tomorrow (180 pages) and i very serious art class where they are expecting nothing less then hours of research and nothing less then professional results. not to mention a college level italian class, an engineering class, 2 robotics classes and a few other things. in a few weeks ill be writing out college applications. i have no time for anything that isnt top priority right now and i need my costume completed by october, so right now randomsabers is the perfect solution for me.

I have the same problem, although i've been in school as a junior for a month now i'm constantly loaded down with projects and home work. random sabers would be good for me if I had the money. I guess lowes will be my toysrus for awhile.

junior year is nothing like senior year, this year is like 'welcome to your own little practice real world where you do your work or you pay dearly' it is also not like junior year because i have a schedule that is basically customized to the type of person i am, on even days i have full academics but on odd days i have a full day of tech and art classes where im treated like a college engineer and a professional artist
