Hopefully we can begin work on a few more sabers soon. I've got several pieces of various things lying around I would like to work into a saber. Remember, I've got five total I need to make.

No need to be rude, Uendo, which is how your post looked.  This is a public forum, and if you are discussing private things, you might want to mention that. Or take it to somewhere actually private. 
Sorry I haven't answered your question, Jedi Wannabe. I just used what I had on hand at the time, which was some wood filler putty, which is sort of a plasticy material anyway.
You could probably use some sort of epoxy, like JB Weld, I've used that when making subsequent sabers.

I commonly feel quite restricted by using only text. It sounds a lot different when I speak, and I just never bother to see how it reads in text. Sorry again. ;D
