HOLY MOLLEY......*is speechless* prolly one of the best home-made sabers I've seen. One question though. Do you plan to paint the end pommel?

Yes, I plan on painting the end piece and adding the black and silver sticker pieces to the side of the pommel. Since this end piece is 2 colors next to each other, I need to experiment with what is called mustard masking. I will post the final photo's before the end of the week.

You do good work. It's a cool looking saber. But the red color puzzles me. Why red? I'm just more partial to the black and silver look myself.

Greetings,
If you read the Star Wars "Insider" mag. In one of the recent issues there was an article called "A grab bag of lightsabers". I wanted to build a saber as close to the computer generated one as possible without driving myself crazy. The saber in the article is red and black. The next one I build will be either metalic blue and black, or traditional black and silver. For those of you who do not know this, the colors silver and black on a saber represent how close the user skirts the dark side of the force. Usually the more black you have represents a close hold to the dark side and silver the light. I do not know how much Lucas now holds true to this since Qui-Gon Jins saber had a lot of black in it. But this was highlighted in an article about the Star Wars sabers about 10-15 years ago. Well, either way I think a saber of any color looks pretty cool. Till we speak again

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Greetings to all, Well I have finished my hardware saber as much as I am going to. I decided not to put on the black detail on the pommel at this time. I might later, but for now I am happy with what I have done. Please enjoy the photo's. I am going to do 3 more saber in yellow/black, sky blue/black, and the traditional silver/ black. I am incorporating a few different emitter designs just for fun. I'll post more on these baby's later. Thanks for all the great comments and praise. ;DJedidad ;D

I have a mix of feelings about it, so I'll start by saying that I love the workmanship that has gone into the saber, and it is a fantastic realization of the concept drawing However, on a personal note, I'm not too keen on the color, it makes it look (with the greatest of respect) too much like a toy. If it was metal with black rubber sections, it would be incredible. That said, I do really appreciate the work that has gone into it, and it's definitely something to be proud of

I have built alot of lightsabers, but thats the best hardware custom i have seen in a long time. Thanks for your info on how you built it. I havent had the time to make any tutorials for mine yet since i am getting married on Sept 10th so i am a busy jedi.
