I must ask, What is that Greyish/Silver thing under the rightmost sabers? It reminds me of one of those Mr. Clean car washing thingys. If it isnt how did you make it?

Funny you should ask. It's one of the most interesting battery operated bubble guns that I have seen made. It really has a sifi look already, it comes in bright colors. The bubble can goes inside the handle and a wiper goes up and down as you pull the trigger and it blowers bubbles out the end. I got it from a friend who's son broke the bubble emitter part so it would not blow any more. I asked if I could have it. I just primered it and painted it grey. I just haven't done anything else with it yet. I thought maybe some lights or something. Sorry I forgot to mention, it was purchased at Walmart. I believe they carry them every year. I will post a better photo if you would like me to.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Greetings, Here are a couple of photo's just for you. This gun shouldn't be to hard to find at one of the stores mentioned. Also look in drug store toy departments. You know the real funny thing about this gun is that all toy manufactures put in the mold there name some were on them. This one has nothing any were on it. It's completely clean. Good luck. ;DJedidad ;D "MTFBWY"....A

Those are great. How did you get a chrome finish that good, is it just paint?

There is no paint on the sabers. It´s a foil called Soft Metal that you just wrap around. And it is very easy to work.

Hmm, Soft Metal you say? Thats very interesting, I'll have to look into that. What kind of stores do you get it from?

Those sabers really are fantastic. I'm curious about the soft metal foil that you mentioned... How do you get it to stick to the wood/pvc? Is it self-adhesive? Did you use a lathe to achieve some of the cuttings? PS Thanks for reposting your photos

A google search for Soft Metal came up with this: www.ezfauxdecor.com/StainlessSteelSoftMetalFilm.htmlLooks fantastic! Is this where you got it, calvinhobbs? Also looks like you have to buy a whole roll? It would be alot of material for one or two sabers, unless you split it with someone or had another use for it.

Interesting stuff. It looks like stainless steel contact paper? A whole role is kind of a lot for just a saber or two, but if you make other props, it has all kinds of possibilities. You could make a lot of lightweight, metal-looking stage props with that.

Hi, and thank´s for these nice words. I bought the Soft Metal in a small Paper Shop and it is self-adhesive. And I only have a dremel and a simple wood saw.
Leda Em-Borr that is the stuff but mine was much cheaper. I think it cost about 12 € but I´m not sure.
