Im a great fan of brass on my sabres. The first custom sabre I designed used brass as a design element. It was built for me by a friend as I didnt have a lathe at the time. That hilt is FREAKISHLY like a design I drew up last summer, for a design contest over at RandomSabers!!!!!! Oh, and it looks great! In the next few days, I'll post some of my hilts in here.

Thanks Jedi Ranger That one was entered into Luukes 2005 I think it was sabre contest. I see you have one of Guys Vanguard's, glad you like the design Thats one of mine lol, actually the design was based on the one above, sort of as a long and short pair which is why I have one of the shiny plain ones to wear as a set when Im in the mood.

One of those 2 yes This one was started awhile back and finished since I got the electronics. Had to redo a bit of it due to that and it seems that wood isnt my material as thats the 3rd attempt on the wood grip. I really must learn to use kiln dried wood as the other 2 shrank and split after fitting them.

Jeffrek, I love the wooden grip. It looks very organic, but not too primitive. Fantastic design job.

TND I like th style of your graflex saber. Jeffrek, I really like how you used wook for the grip section. on my side, some might already haev seen my "brass saber" that was intended for a sith costume. Since then I decided I wanted to give a try to the "organic look" a la Dark Woman... So I started from this: and I made - an Organic saber: Brass sink pipe PVC pipe overlay, Apoxy Sculpt, etc. 2-tone paint red-orange luxeon Star/O ultrablade Corbinscomponent driver puttied: repainted: with blade: Will alter the pommel later, but needed it quicker then expected. what do you think?
