Hello, my friends. Please check out the new training vids under Film and Video from our home page, nyjedi.com. We stored them on YouTube.com. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjNdhQsLh6A You may recognize Jedi Leda in a few! Enjoy! -=flynn=-

I keep telling Leda how happy I am that there's a group like NY Jedi around. You guys pick up where we leave off. So may people want us to do saber duels and hold classes. But of course we focus on costumes and there isn't always time for dueling classes. Except in our back yards, that is. So now when we're asked about saber classes and dueling we can point them in your direction. It's nice!!

Hey wow, check it out! Great vids, flynn!
And you don't have to be in the NYC area to benefit from these training videos!
That's actual footage of me learning these moves--- I didn't know them before that night.

Very, very nice. I have been reviewing them and was very pleased to see Leda in them as well as the professionalism of the vids. I have learned a few things from them I can tell you.

Hey ya'll -- This needs to go in or link to the new Light, Saber, Action section!! (Sorry, I'm not sure how to link a whole thread.) I never would have seen it if I hadn't been doing surveillance (ummm, snooping) in another Order. So let's give credit where credit is due, to the NY Jedi and to Leda. Congrats to all involved, and I'm hoping for that training DVD.

We can move this thread maybe... Xana can do that...
;D
NY Jedi were in the Village Halloween parade last night! On the Lucky Cheng Float... I can't wait to see footage from that! I couldn't go because I decided to trick or treat with my son who's 12... might be his last year, ya know?

yep that whole family actually has studied martial arts for years, They were realy just fooling around at first but didn't have the means to do a lot of pvc sabers or such so just used Hasbros. I agree, another fan film to check out for duels is believe it or not, Ryan VS Dorkman. I totally loved it. Everyone on the film i was working asked if they could learns moves like that.
I said when they got basics down then maybe.....Yoda was right. Students are impaitient

Hey all,
A number of us NY Jedi will be attending DragonCon this year. It will be their first time at DragonCon so their in for a real treat.
We could stop by and do some small Demos of the stuff that we do at the NY Jedi classes.
Let me know and I'll set it up. ;-)

Cool, and welcome! I've never been to D*C either, and I live here! Look forward to meeting you and other members your group, and I do hope a demo can be set up. Any news on the NY Jedi DVD project? I've become a fencer this past year just b/c I like "playing with swords". (OK, confession... I'm not that great, but I do love it...) P.S. Down here, it's... "hey y'all" ... kind of link the two words together and drag it out a bit ...;D ;D ;D
