Thanks thanks... Wow... it's funny how many people are questioning my husband, asking "how could you let your wife do this?" Then they all have stories that emphasize how unsafe motorcycling is. It's getting to be a bit unnerving. There's a slogan, Educate don't Legislate. Safety=More motorcycle freedoms. Tell these people that since the education program was introduced motorcycle fatalitys have dropped sharply and that they should be glad that you are trained risking YOUR life and not an unpermitted unlicensed unregistered idiot risking EVERYONE's life. OR one better, just scoff and move on. Ok I'm done with this rant. Sorry but some people's reactions to motorcycles get me steamed. and thanks for the luck wishing.

I refuse to let it get to me. Leaning to ride is a personal accomplishment for me and I won't let the negativity of others put a damper on it. There are inherent risks in everything we do. Thanks for your support, Jedi Wannabe!

No...you must get a bike...then, and only then, a biker will you be. And then give me a ring and we'll go for a ride. Did Toni pass as well??? Email me and let me know. Hey...now we gotta go for tattoos I PASSED ! ! ! I got my motorcycle licsence! Wow, what a thrill! I'm an official biker now! The class was excellent. The instructors were superb. I found the manual a bit confusing at first, but the instructors did a fantastic job of explaining everything and keeping it lighthearted and fun, while stressing the importance of being safe on the road. Now for the DIRT.....
Hey Mike! A million thanks for recommending the course! Yes, ok, now I need a bike! For mother's day I got the bike I really want.... only it's about 8 inches long... lol! See? ;D ;D ---------------- yes, ok, this is how it looked before I just knocked it over with my elbow and broke it. This is why I should probably never get such an expensive motorcycle.... not that I would be able to afford one of these anytime soon, anyway....

Her husband rides and they always go to rallies and stuff. Gee, I have the helmet, the boots, the gloves, the jacket... what's missing?

In all honesty I'd try to find a Honda Shadow 600 (I think that's the size) or if you want to hit some dirt along with some street time I'd go for a Kawasaki KLR 650, the KLR is a little tall for a motorcycle but there are parts and modifications available to shorten it down a bit.

A friend of mine who rides recommended the KLR 650... or the mini vstrom. I'm thinking of going with something a bit smaller, like a 250 dual purpose bike of some kind. I'll have to keep looking. And I'll have to go and test some different ones. All the dirt bikes I've ever sat on were really too high... and my weight didn't make them any lower, like they said it would.... but that's a matter of adjusting the suspension maybe...
