Very interesting. My husband would be all over it. He wants a plug-in hybrid. However, I want a standard coupe 4 seater! He wanted to get a 2 seater Honda Insight when they were first available and I said a big NO. This one is only available in California. We are hopeful that once our 5 year old, Prius classic needs replacing, Toyota will have a plug-in hybrid option.

you don't want a plugin hybrid, you want a fully electrical car. look at the ZENN (Zero Emission, No Noise) www.zenncars.com/if the paperwork would be done and they'd be freely available in my area, I'd change my toyota for one of those...

No, I don't. I want the range of a plug-in hybrid. A fully electric car is not a good choice for travelling 100's of miles on a trip. It's best as a commuter car but I want more versatility.
This one is available in my area. Might go check it out. It is only a 2-seater, though. Must have 4.

It's a cool looking design, very 21st-century, but with limited appeal if it can only take 2 people. But there are all kinds of commuters who might go for it and gas isn't getting any cheaper.
I'm all over the zero emissions thing. But that's only because whenever I go to the DMV they say 'read this eyechart' and I say 'what eyechart?' I'm artificially green.
