I've given myself a project. Since I love music, and I love Star Wars, I've decided to take the story of A New Hope and put it to music. Not like an opera, but more of a concept album.
One song was more of an adaptation, where I took the music and melody of "Ashes of American Flags" by Wilco and changed the words to describe the opening battle from the movie.
But the song I'm about to link you to is wholly my own. It's called "Old Ben," and it's about...well...Old Ben. It's in the demo stage right now, so it's just guitar and my double-tracked voice, but eventually I'm going to add another guitar, bass, and drums. It's pretty short, but I really like it. And for me to say that I actually like one of my own songs is pretty far out in itself...usually I hate every song I write...
Anyway, here it is. Let me know what you think. I look forward to honest constructive criticism.
