OK, only one week 'til the biggest costuming bash on the planet! Who's got the most stuff to do before they're ready for D*Con? For the person that's just totally hopeless and there's NO WAY they're gonna make it in time, we'll crown you Mr./Ms. Impossible! Post your TO-DO List here, and we'll try to help (or at least tease you about it). ;D ~ Koda

Me, I've still got a bunch of things to do: - Wash and hang-dry the jedi tunics (yes, they've been sitting in the hamper since CIV -- sue me) - Trim and touch-up the new blaster holster - Take some pix with the full Katarn costume w/ cowboy coat and post to web - Iron both jedi tunic sets - Pack all the props, belts, boots, etc... I know, my list is not looking too bad. But I'll bet some of your's are. *edit* now people can do the black or blue checkmarks. ;D

Ok... here goes. - Assemble banner stand...all parts are there! yay! - Repaint banner stand. --- can't do... weather bad, no time. Oh well, it looks a bit battle worn, that's all. - Shop for turquoise fabric for trim on St Pauli Girl skirt, and sew it on. - Shop for 6 giant clear plastic beer mugs for SPG costume. - Finish headpiece, sash and neckband for SPG. - Dye Kill Bill pants a deeper yellow to match the jacket and sneakers better. - repair Sith belt. - Lose 10 lbs. (I gave up on 20 ) not sure about this. - Dye my hair. - Learn a lightsaber routine for the Masquerade. partly done - Find a one way flight for Andrew to LA for college. - Help him finalize his schedule for classes. - Help him pack all his stuff for dorm life. mostly done - Reserve a rental car for Oli and Andrew for LA trip. - Find accomodations for Anthony (13) while we are all away for the Labor Day weekend (Dad and Andrew in Cali and mom at D*C) and I don't want him staying home doing nothing for that long. mostly done - Install new faucet in kitchen sink since I messed up the old one trying to fix it. - Shop at hardware store for said faucet. - wash Sith costume. - Wash Jedi costume. - Help Anthony prepare for the first day of school (8th grade) since I will be returning from D*C on that day and I wont be there in the morning. - Give him a haircut. (Yes I still cut my kids hair) Ok, so not all of this is for D*C... but it all has to be done before I leave or much trouble there will be. also, I have to pack everything and make sure I'm not over the 50 pound weight limit for the plane... Adding: - Apply for parent plus loan for Adam's college in Florida. - Finish paperwork for Adam's college, and mail it in. - Schedule September bill payments. - Water all plants - Feed snake - Clean bird cage - Scrub shower - Clean 3 toilets - Grocery shop for Adam and Anthony - Clean kitchen (after faucet is re-installed) - Clean up my sewing mess - Make oxtail soup for Andrew's going away dinner tonight - sleep? Oh how I love being down to the wire!

Ten pounds in one week? Woah. My sister told me she can lose 5 in one week just by skipping dinner on Mon, Wed and Fri, and pigging out on breakfast Tue, Thur, Sat. No joke, she's totally serious... although I personally haven't tried it. My goal is to get back under 200lb before DC2008. That would turn back the clock 15 years and twice that in pounds. Not to mention it would also make a better looking Kyle Katarn.

Ooh, I think Leda's got a strong lead on us all already!
Lessee....
-Get some snap tape to help my not-yet-done Jedi costume -sew on said snap tape -Finish the tabards on my costume -and have a final fitting (Yeah, I guess I should iron it one more time...) -see if two totes and two coolers plus luggage for three will fit in a Ford Escort (I'm thinking... NO!) -upon failing at previous, renting an SUV -four more days of Japanese homework -five more days of lit class reading and discussion -my first two calculus classes and related homework -re-re-re-clean the house before my mother in law comes to cat-sit -clean the bird cage -bake a fantabulous lasagna dinner Wednesday night before we leave -grocery shop for assorted junk food -pack said junk food -pack microwave and asst things to go with junk food -pack regular stuff -get my hair cut -pick up prescription and actually get it filled -convince hubby to bring pirate costume -buy props for hubby's pirate costume -find/pack my SW RPG Player's Manual (omg, where th'heck are my DICE?) -try to plan a character -OH, and plan my DCon schedule
Uh... that might be it. Other than work and actually going to classes, but that doesn't count.
But I gotta give it up to Leda 'cos packing your kid up for college is worth a whole bunch of items!

Lala, Escort wagons are pretty big! I could get two string basses, seven cellos, and assorted violins and violas in mine. (These were all smaller sizes, but still...) Do you have a roof rack?

-call Nerf's doc to see how the CT scan went
-make sure Nerf has all his meds til I get back
-I have a dr. appt. Wednesday
-Pack Wednesday
