My Co-workers know Im a costuming fiend... And they happen to know that between Star Wars, and Star Trek..and now PIRATES...lol..I try to keep busy. And luckily, they are pretty good about letting me go. This year, one of them got me a copy of an old..uh..dare I use the word... ClassicThe Star Wars Christmas Holiday Special... Now..I was overseas, when this sucker came out..soooooo Id have never seen it before. ... . . . I was sooo glad I was alone when I watched it... ;D  Im sure my shrieks...echoed down the hall... ROTFL!!! Oh dear..I MUST THANK THEM!! *Starts to plot* Hope everyone had a good Holiday.. ;D |

Ah, you were one of the lucky ones that hadn't ever seen it...
I saw it when it was on TV back in the 70s... and I've refused to watch it since! Although I have friends who think it's hilarious.... perhaps they mean "Hilarious" in a perverted sort of way....
Well, when you think of your co-workers, assuming they know nothing about Star Wars, then remember it's the thought that counts... ;D

Same here. I was also overseas with no access to American TV. I've still never seen it. In fact, I missed 5 years of USA TV in the late 80's.

I still have post-traumatic shock from seeing it in the 1970's. It was sssssssssssooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad. It's not even so bad it's good, in a comical way. It's just putrid. And it had a decent cast that you felt so embarrassed for, 'cause the special was so bad. Worse than William Shatner singing 'Rocket Man'. I haven't watched it since. The one thing people seemed to agree on was that the Boba Fett cartoon was nice. I suppose I could watch that bit again.
What made it so awful was that everyone was so desperate for more Star Wars and this was supposed to tide us over until TESB came out. Not.

OOOHHHH it hard to find Lucas considers it like the plague he hates it but the camp factor I love it  but it should be a must for all fans at least to see how bad we could of been |
