Interesting, but the series is notable by its lack of information. And now the writers' strike is likely to delay it, if they need scripts written.

I've always thought they should explore TV more. They could do a miniseries of the four original X-wing novels and put it on HBO or something and make a killing.
One thing about the strike, though...I thought Lucasfilm didn't use union members for crewmembers, just so they could avoid this very thing.

Hmmmmm, I don't recall hearing anything about Lucasfilm not using union members for their projects. They are independent of the big studio system, but I don't know of anything beyond that.
And it's a shame, but there are just so many ways that a TV series can disappoint. I'm hoping it turns out well.

I, too, have heard that Lucasfilm doesn't hire union.....not sure which union, though.

Gary Oldman couldn't be General Grievous because the film was made outside the Screen Actors' Guild. So there's one. Lucas isn't in the Directors' Guild or the Writers' Guild.
So I don't think they use any unions.

EDIT: Apparently Lucasfilm uses union writers according to this article about Boba Fett Comfirmed For Live Action Series. But like Letterman, they can make their own deal with the WGA.
Hmmmmmm, I guess there are going to be bounty hunters. Sadly, if there are Jedi the stories will be about them being hunted down. Hopefully, some will escape.

Because none of the other actors are union actors. Oldman is.

I *HATE* Bob Fett.... what an overdone character.... overrated... over hyped.... can't anyone use their imagination and make up someone new? Geez....
Lucas hasn't been in the Director's Guild since they fined him for not putting Irwin Kershner's name on screen ine ESB BEFORE the movie started, even though Kershner didn't care... That's why Spielberg didn't direct Ep. I, even though George wanted him to, and got a lot of advice from him...
I'm prepared for a disappointment... don't ask me why, I just have a bad feeling about this...

I agree with Granny. Boba Fett is WAY overdone. I mean, he starts life as a clone of a bounty hunter, and ends life being swallowed by a Sarlacc (unless you read EU). He may have been cool when he was a mysterious guy with a mysterious background, but make him a test-tube kid with a bad attitude, and the mystery goes bye-bye. He had a pretty abrupt life, if you ask me. They ought to show where all the Jedi went...or at least the beginnings of the Rebellion!

I agree, especially about his death. THAT was probably one of the most wasted opportunities of the entire saga. Here's this total badass, tough enough to stand up to Vader (nobody with an Imperial uniform would have gotten away with the tone Boba used...except for the officer in the beginning of ANH. You know..."She'll die before she'll tell you anything" guy), and here he meets his end by getting dragged into the Sarlacc whilst screaming.
Granted, I'd probably be screaming too, but I never cultivated a reputation for myself as being Mr. Superbad (cue James Brown music).
