Here it is:

It may not seem like much, but to me it is priceless.
This cap is a ILM Visual FX Crew Cap (not mass market) and was owned and worn by author Kevin J. Anderson. He brought it to the Star Wars D*C auction this year where Timothy Zahn, Michael Stackpole and Rebecca Moesta (Kevin's wife) all wore it also.
Since I had to leave Monday, I had my old padawan Jaii take the cap to the Walk of Fame where she was able to get Tim Zahn and Mike Stackpole to sign it. Unfortunately, Kevin Anderson and his wife had to leave D*C early so I was unable to get it signed y then. She held it until we met at the Oktoberfest parade where she gave it back to me.
In between time, I contacted Kevin Anderson through his MySpace page and told him that D*C was my big outing and briefly what I had gone thorugh this year. He wrote abck and gave me his address and said if I mail it to him, he would make sure I would get it back. However, he was leaving the very next day for Austalia and would not be back until October sometime. Well, that worked out well since Jaii had the hat anyways. So once I got it back and scraped my peenies to mail it to him, which i finally did last week.
This week, I get a box back from him. Wow! He was extremely fast, which pleased me in and of itself. But when i opened the box, not only was the hat tehr, but a copy of the book "Crystal Doors" which he wrote with his wife and they both signed it and personalized it for me.
What a great guy!
Now I really need to find an acrylic case or something to put it in
I've been wearing it aorund now. I really hope all those writing genes come through and inspres me!
