The Council has talked about having "honorary members"... and ... it was not passed....
I guess the Carolina Garrison of the 501st in their Stormtrooper costumes were on stage and did a few things with Wierd Al when he was performing there..
He is due in the Chicago area soon...and my Garrison is looking to do something with him...

The show was last night! Awesome! www.flickr.com/photos/8139332@N08/sets/72157601323067992/copy and paste the whole link I did get to see him after the show -- in a sense. Al is usually very friendly to his fans and has a "Meet & Greet" out by his bus unless he has a long way to travel for the next show. Unfortunately, there was a fence with black mesh between us and the bus, but Al did come out, as did his bass player, Steve Jay, to sign and chat with us. Karm got his iPod signed, and I got his signature as well. I wish I could have ben closer up, but at least I did see him.

You should have asked him to come by and chat. We could give him his own thread...

Hi AL!!! He probably wouldn't want us to know he was here, to eliminate all kinds of chatter.......I am saying that we aren't like that. We aren't star struck groupies. We think he is cool that he loves StarWars and the Jedi... and we wouldn't bother him........we would answer his posts......right guys? No......OMG!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!......right??? I wouldn't want to come if I had to face that everytime. He knows we are fans.......*Em gets off soapbox*

Glad you had a great time? Was it loud? The pictures are a little fuzzy, but I'm glad to see them. No chance for Weird Al for me. Wow, I didn't know his show included so many of his older hits. I though it would be centered more on his latest CD, which is apparently his most successful.
Hmmmm, I've never heard of Weird Al doing DragonCon, but he'd be perfect. Possibly a concert would have to be held in a different venue than the hotels though.

It was loud, but no louder than any other concert I've been to. I would love to see him do D*C -- or even better, C5.

I know the Midsouth Garrison gave him an honoary membership in the Midsouth Garrison. if I knew how to post the photo on here i would but I am not that good.
