I picked up 20 sheets this morning

They are not all for me...I plan to put all SW stamps on all outgoing mail at work

Did everyone else get theirs?

Stamps look okay they are not all the best but u know they are okay. I ended up at N. Market St. Post Office because the main post office downtown did not have any. I stayed around for about an hour. They appreciated me coming out in costume few carriers said I am such a "geek" like that is going to bother me ha ha ha. They do not know us very well do they. Anyway I pose with some kids outside while I was leaving had some great times and got a lot of stares but u know its all fun. Take care and will try to send a photo of what the stamps look like.

I really thought about wearing my Yoda jacket to work. But didn't as it's just too weird..

I bought the stamps after work and used 3 of them to mail the prop envelope from the R2D2 photo shoot to Mary Franklin.

I bought a few sheets. Thinking of saving them for what Yule cards I send out (I'm following Schph's idea of sending a pdf card/letter to those friends and family with email)

but....THE YODA STAMP WON! It will be released this fall as a single stamp. I'm going to get a lifetime supply!

Here are my pictures from the Stamp Release May 25, 2007 at the Denver Main Post office ... Paul from the 501st was a hoot, he had me speak on behalf of the 501st. He said I know more of its history than he did ... I don't thin k that was true, but it is hard to talk through the bucket ... ... All other people in costume were Postal employees in Rubies costumes ... A good time was had by all.

I was hoping the 501st would have done something here at the post office, but I saw nothing posted on the site........to bad it would have been fun.... I know I could have done it alone...but that is no fun......and I didn't think of it in time.....lol

I think the stamps are pretty cool. Very nice to have SW immortalized by the USPS. I purchased a set while in L.A. at CIV. The post office there was also offering to place a cancellation stamp on the sheet so you could have them marked with the actual 30th anniversary date, from L.A. where the film opened 30 years ago, no less! It was an option I decided to take since I can purchase a normal stamp sheet anywhere else when I want.

I was also glad to see the Yoda stamp win the contest. It looks really good. But I must say, Vader would have been cool, too!

The Yoda stamp will be released Oct 25. Sounds like some PO's might be doing special events.
